I see. And how many hours does your trading schedule entail?
I'm asking this because I trade FX as a hobby, since I have a full time job and sometimes it takes me 9 or 10 hours until I sit on my computer again. Do you recommend sticking to day to day trading and not keeping overnight positions? I am using (well sort of ) your PVSRA method so an advice from a more experienced trader would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

AU Short Trade:

Entered short trade #1, Scout. M1 PVSRA shows price just run above 3/4SR on strong activity, indicating the MMs are bears. This move has since been followed by an even stronger activity sell off from the highs.

I won't be so arrogant as to advise you how to trade. I believe the more experienced you become with PVSRA the more your trading will improve. The nice thing about position building is that you are not scalping. You are building a position for a move that might come the next day, or the next week. By trading smaller size positions than you used to, you can pick and choose where to place them and this does not require you spend countless continuous hours at the computer. You should try and be on-hand during the most active parts of the trading day, but if you cannot, you can review the price action later and then place pending orders for entries in case price gets moved back into obvious areas where the MMs have chosen to do most of their trading.

As an example, in the attached you see a position I completed building last week. Essentially, I just peppered the range with entries when PVSRA indicated it was a good place to do so. Now I will just wait and let the bears make money for me. There is no hard SL and even the TP is mental until the price gets closer. If and when the price gets closer, I will reassess to see if I should move it even lower.

It's not a matter of arrogance, I don't think that by saying your opinion anyone is entitled in following it. It's an adult forum
Anyways, thank you for your advice I am trying to be patient and disciplined when deciding whether to hold to a position or not.
Congrats to everyone contributing to this thread, it has been really enlightening.

I didn't see them trade either, it was suppose to be some movie coming out about how to make 50k in 4 hours trading forex.... But they couldn't get funding for the movie.. The guy that was trading has some special indicators or something that makes him a winner most of the time... Sounds like complete BS.... But who knows its Forex if you made money today someone lost.

How do you decide in this case that the bears are stronger? GJ is ranging and both bulls and bears are showing strength at the range lows and highs.

Given enough time, PVSRA will indicate.

To keep the price from dropping precipitously below the whole number before finishing shorting, the MMs stopped the drop, hiked the price, and resumed building their short positions. It may turn out this lower whole number area is currently the lower threshold for the MMs, so far as building their short positions. At some point in time though, I believe they will drive the price soundly down thru it. It seems late in the day for that now, though stranger things have happened, so maybe tomorrow or Wednesday?

PVSRA is a unique and powerful form of analysis. Unfortunately, learning it is more like learning an art than a step-by-step method. It takes time, but I believe anyone dedicated will improve with it.

TAH, could you put up a chart of one of your closed position with the exact entry and exit points. From he trade level indy its not clear where you've entered (at least to me).

You can just drag and drop all the trades from the account history onto the chart, if you may not know that.

The whole point of posting my entries is to show when/where they were made, to be informative, and to be an example of trade postings for others to follow. So just go back on any trade and study the posts for each entry involved. You can see from the entry posts, most of which were posted as close to the real-time entry as humanly possible (certainly most of them within minutes of the posting), exactly when/where each entry occurred. There are go-back links thru each trade for each trade component, so this is easy for you to do if you are that interested. At each posting, you will most likely also find remarks relating to the reason for the trade component being made at that specific time.

This is my system. It provides the cleanest trade charts and the most per trade component analysis of any method on FF. I have set it this way because it is the most instructive way and therefore the best way for the Sonic R. System thread. It is all there if you want it.

Thanks Tymedu yes it help like your pdf, that explains very well for a newbie the main idea.

I saw in your pdf the picture with the market phases.

Could be possible people who posts trades write in the decription in market phase of the trade? That could help a lot to newbies like me to start create a clear charts trainning well our eyes.

(I think this is too noob, but i dont have shame when i want learn If can be possible ok, if not ok too Thanks again.

They have started building short on GJ so i will Move my previous long trade to BE and watch and see how this build up if they push price above 152.50 i will watch volume and enter short on EJ and GJ

EU Short Trade:

PVSRA same as before showing at the time of execution of the pending order, the MMs were involved in a push up of the price on very active trading as they took it up thru the whole number for the second time, immediately followed by a strong selloff from the highs= MMs are bears. No SL. TP is adjusted for new trade component, and is tentative.
