Well what a week for the YEN traders

holding longs long term

will add to them if it retraces.

Thinking they want 103 to 105 level

Lets see what happens next week

I think this may break 100 next week and head for 99.00/98.80.

If so, longs for everyone!!


Don't ask me for my technical analysis as I don't have one. I just read reports and gauge from there.

Bad way to trade, I know, but, it works for me.

This is a heavy data week, I am expecting massive intra day volatility...
If you look at the S&P 500, the selloff into the close of friday was quite scary... and might be an omen of things to come...
I also ready that DeMark indicators are on a sell for Daily, Weekly, & Monthly time frames... I dont remember the last time such a thing happened...
Yen crosses are looking increasingly weak, and a scary indication comes from the Nikkei monthly charts, HUGE doji, indicating price rejection
I wish you all the best for the coming week, my sincere advice would be to wait and see before committing hard earned $$ trying to front run this market

I'm looking at breaking 99.80, then 99.45, then it's hello 98.80 with a chance at 98.50.

I'm not good at judging entry and exit moments, but I can tell you that "the trend is your friend" only for as long as there is a trend. Further bull movement of this pair is not justified by fundamentals (in fact there are every day now comments that the JPY is under-valued). It's not going to flat line and movement always means the opportunity for profit, but you can't bet long on a trend-is-my-friend (balance of probabilities) basis any more. That ride is over, IMO.

Really ? Well In my opinion you should really learn your fundamentals better, I hope you are not one of those who were arguing with me in October last year at 82 that we will see a drop to 78... and I was telling them that the trend will continue for quite a while.
Fundamentals you say ? US bond yield's are rising, BOJ with Kuroda and Abe must prove to the world that they can talk the talk and walk the walk and if you really are a trader of this pair and speaking about fundamentals you should remember that at 92, almost 2 months ago Kuroda said that BOJ will double if not triple the amount of money that they will put in the market.
I'm still keeping my target at 106 for the next 2 months with 110 in extension for the next 4-6 months the most.

I wish you and all the others the best and green pips, but if you have an argument regarding fundamentals please do share, not just a ( ) statement.
