Before I read infamous Murphy's book(well half) I read forex for dummies (yes I did) - some people make fun of that book however there is many good stuff, among them one simple, most important that head of CB should be listened carefully.

Lets asume the guy called his bank and bought 500 000$ physical cash - where he should place his stop?
There are expectations in the market, one of them is his comments about QE,
So even if you are tech trader we both know that his statement will move the market for the rest of the year.
I trade pivots so I am technical trader as well - however more important things for this market are not on the charts.

so his speech could go either way.. it may benefit my trade or hurt it.. if he hurts it, i have stops.. if he benefits it.. then my tp is usually 7/10 times or more then my sl. since 2008, what direction does bb move the eu most times?

btw my stops were in the green

We could go all afternoon about it mate, I am happy for you that you founded your way in this business,
The answer for the question - there is no SL cause how can you protect physical cash from the shift in the price, you can't
But if you buy/sell in the right place you do not need protection - you need patience - this is my ultimate goal in FX.
As for the recent most acurate example how he moved euro - there was decision last fall about buying 85B per month, it stoped in Feb this year with europe's economy going down again vs us
