Awesome analysis ichi, sorry I haven't been around for this thread, I have a ton of other things going on with some other projects, hopefully the next few weeks will calm down for me and I will be back...

While I'm on a roll let's look at a trading opportunity with GBP vs CAD. On the Daily chart above I see that we are bullish with price below the cloud and the first thing that pops out at you is how the cloud is holding resistance. If this pair is already bullish and can't break the Kumo then why would I want to be looking for long trades? I'm looking short cause the Kumo told me so and so did price action. The light blue line will represent the daily Kumo when I revert to the 4 hour chart and the dark blue line will represent the 100 SMA. Those levels are important for you to see on your 4 hour so that you know where the strong S&R levels are located. So on my 4 hour I know price may move back up to these levels. If my trade fails and price moves to these levels don't you think I'll be in it again waiting to see what the market tells me? Of course! So lets view the 4 hour chart and see where I am entering.

I have a Bid Limit Order placed @ 1.54845 right below the previous fractal low level support which will now be resistance. Watch and observe the market when it's moving you will notice it moves like a ladder and the fractals are the steps. Price breaks a fractal level then retraces back to it then goes again and continues the same pattern. I can show you this on many charts so this is the area to put your entry in. Now price may not hit it right on the nose but it sometimes does or comes very close. Therefore my entry is slightly below that point. Now on this last downward move and on the current retrace we now are making a fractal level. If I don't get my first entry above then I can enter below on the fractal break. Now I am getting tired of typing and this is why i do youtube but my screencast isn't working properly yet. Ok the GBP vs USD looks almost exactly like the GBP vs CAD so I don't need to explain as much. You can look at the chart and see what I am seeing. Mainly on the Daily we are bearish with price below the Kumo and you see the retrace back to the Kumo at the 50% retracement level right? So who needs Fibs, Ichimoku has them for you! That bounce off of the Kumo at the 50% level is a strong resistance point. I expect S&R to be observed until I see it violated! All my S&R and targets are gathered from the daily so now let's go to our trading time frame.

The 4 hour time frame! Guys this works on any time frame but the higher the time frame the more validity the S&R and less false signals but a breakout on the hourly is a breakout....period. I will enter this trade based off of one of three triggers. When price retraces back to the fractal resistance level. When price retraces back to the bottom of the 4 hour Kumo or when price makes a fractal where it is and breaks it. If price gets back up to the 50% retracement level then I sit and let the market tell me where it's going. At that point it will make another attempt to break the daily Kumo and there awaits more trading opportunities for you.

if you are trading the 4h.. you should be using the 240 LWMA

I'll have to do some research with it. Why would you suggest using it?

Hello traders, yesterday I took a a trade on the M30 time-frame. Isolated case since am a H4 trader but whatever.
Simple logic: Bearish trend has been on for 4 days now. price correction back to the lower edge of the cloud, failed to break but instead formed a reversal candle. The same corrective move was exhibited in the H1 time-frame. Good sell...currently at 100pips into profit.

Ichitrader- what settings do you use on your ichi charts? the price is respecting the cloud really good on your ichi charts.

My EURUSD trade today. I use trend lines in conjunction with ichimoku for breakouts.

FWIW, I have been scalping GJ for the last week , mostly long trades

I have a current avg position at 155.23

Its going to take some time, but I think this is going to make a return visit to the 156.5x area.
