Killed prematurely an AJ short from 71 to 55 (y'days high) because it was CT and I got real nervous again... Target got reached, of course. God damn it why can't I keep myself in a trade that was totally heading towards my target?! I thought I was over this

But this lower inflation, will encourage more QE, which will only make the inflationary hit even worse

But the Aussie and the Yen are both weakening, so an AJ trade is kind of knee-capped. The best trades are strong vs weak (or vice versa), but weak vs weak is always going to be a difficult trade

That's what I think too....and I wonder whether these muppets in suits actually know what they are going to cause to happen in the not too distant future.

I agree, that's why I didn't feel sure throughout the whole trade... Then again my target was hit, there was nothing standing between my entry and my target, but I just panicked because I'm still getting used to playing big ass lots with a live account and I'm having trouble accepting a SL, still, which is idiotic. I do place one, just do everything I can not to have it hit, thus killing a lot of good trades prematurely... I need to stop checking numbers and only abide by candles, or else I'm going to end the week with 50 1 pip trades....

I think we've all been there, and sometimes that ghost of the past comes to visit me too. About the only way to combat it is to be like an Ostrich...lol....stick your head in the sand!! Get your trade to BE, and either go do something else or watch different charts. If it hits BE, you got one more pip that you used to have. If it goes to TP....fine.....tick that one off and look for something else. If you can't get it to BE and you feel that it's not going to fly, no matter why, then there's nothing wrong with a manual exit for 1 pip. For instance, my Kiwi trade is protected at BE +1. I could cash it in now for +27 because the PA is stalling......and there would be nothing wrong with that. But my target is the Pivot and I think it will get there, sooner or later, so I'll let the trade do whatever it wants.

So, the questions are

Q1. Do I TP now and put +27 in my pocket?
Q2. Do I leave it alone and wait for the DP and +50?
Q3. What if it reverses and I don't see it because I'm making coffee?

A1. I choose not to
A2. Yeah, why not?....I can't lose anything at all!
A3. So what?.....enjoy the coffee, smile and move on...I lost nothing.

We've been watching it on the Weekly chart, but the Daily is just as good...perhaps even better. If you have a look at the stoch on the Daily you can see that it doesn't look ready for a big drop....of course it might defy the stoch and drop anyway, but it seems unlikely. If the neckline breaks while the h&S is intact, then I see 1.20 as technically possible over the next few weeks.

But the H&S might equally just dissolve into nothing.....we just need to carry on trading, but keep an eye on that formation to see what happens

Thanks for the advice, I try to do just that and avoid checking my profit in $$ at all cost, but sometimes its stronger than me.

I'm struggling with the part where I have to trail my SL to b/e+1 when I'm in a CT trade, or I'm scalping a quick 10-15 pips right below a resistance/above a support. If I move it too soon, its bound to get hit, if I dont move it at all... well I have had this happen to me in the past, be in a decent profit, target missed by 1 pip and move reverses until my 5 pips SL and a winner turns into a loser for no reason. I need to figure this out before I take any more such trades, because it's what kills me and makes me feel naked and defenseless when I have a non-freetrade.

Then again all trades that I have gotten into the past two days have reached my target spot on, sometimes even overshot (like just now, on AJ), so if that keeps happening, I expect it to be a good confidence boost. If I'm right 99% of the time I don't have any reason to doubt and close before target or stop is reached, right? Right?

Bear in mind any EU long is CT. A bounce off 2900 would mean a LL on h4.

Do you ever consider a partial exit? Take half off at your 27 pips and let the other half run?
