You were right as sonic set-up... but the signs of weakness were there also.
can't up-load pic now (later i will).
the move up to near daily pivot was with decreasing volumem thats a bearish sign. to cross PVL we need strenght signs. the big wicks on top are signs that supply might be coming in. last up bar, near pivot was a No Demand bar.
the red down candle was with high volume (means that the market might go lower, is also on this candle that bulls like to buy). the next candle is like a test. and the big wick on top looks like suply coming in. the candle close to ema89 (before big drop move) is also a no demand bar.
so, to many weak signals that could have quit the trade.
besides, after touch the pivot line it made a lower low... (good place to leave).
then it made classic sonic for short....
just my 5 cents...

and when combined...
I use PVSRA (TAH great development!, thanks TAH) to define my bias.
Then i use a litle VSA to spot the best entry in SONICR set-ups....specially near R/S lines ....and for exits...

I'm confused... MMs bears???? All this time when they pushed the price up so hardly.... how many pips so far? 300-400 ? ok, will see, but I think it's time to change something.. can't take this kind of risk anymore..

let alone these mad dogs (yen pairs) they will come around. go for uchf, EU, GU, AU. they play well.

NO that was not the sonic R buy setup... dragn was pinting downwrd and no indication in the PVSRA to buy ....

I think you didn't take a wrong wave and wrong entry. At the possible entry point dragon wasn't pointing down, it was pointing up. And PVSRA showed increasing volume at lows. So "gene3" you didn't do anything wrong, just remember "buy low, sell high" and keep watching the SR areas.

In your case happened exactly this what TAH is talking about. "price quickly dropped to 1/4 SR (market makers going after orders?) followed by increased activity (market makers filling orders?) indicating SM is a bull seeking lower prices to add longs" .

These yen pairs are exasperating. The hole seems to be getting bigger, not helped by my lack of activity this week. Hopefully it will all come good next week - hope? Not a term I like to use; rather the evidence suggests...

Looking at this chart the long term trendline is breached - good; we are approaching historical resistance high- good; PVSRA difficult to read on today's chart for me. However this could be a top formation. Roll on next week. Thanks all for high standards of interesting posts.

where is your Breakeven price level?
Maybe time to consider and plan to take some corrective measures/recovery trades and do some equity balancing trades.

good time to do some reading over the weekend.

UJ Short Trade:

Added short trades #9, #10, #11 and #12, Scouts. PVSRA M15 (not shown): The real pump got underway in the US session, first back above the half number, then all the way up thru the upper whole number, on which bar was the highest trading of the day. After seeing the pump up in the early London session to above the half number, followed by continued high trading, followed by a strong selloff from above the half number and which indicated SM remains a bear, I later added these Scouts in the US session.

I previously told Sonic I was finished adding to my YEN trades, but PVSRA on all the major YEN pairs was indicating SM remains a bear as SM pushed prices back upwards on them, and UJ received the best push of all.

I am well. Friday was a very busy day for me, involved in non-trading matters and trying to keep abreast of what the market was doing at the same time. I just did not have the time to spare to get involved in posting, especially since I made a number of trades which would have required a number of posts. As you can see, I am playing "catch up" by having just posted them above.

Again, I really appreciate the concern you demonstrated, Msis125125, by inquiring about my absence.
