Be careful on that trade, because lately EJ and UJ have been pretty correlated. UJ seems to reject DP and stochs on EJ don't seem perfect to me. I didn't take the short signal on EJ for that reason. I am, however waiting to see how things develop on UJ.

I find it quite fascinating that most traders in the early stages, want to constantly want to take the hero trade against the HTF trend.

I know for ages, that was exactly how I traded.

Constantly getting chopped up. Or the rare occasion I got a reversal, there was massive volatility, and by the time my trade entered profit, I was so relieved, I would close with a small profit. Not very profitable (in fact, losses), but also hugely stressful.

Forex markets are renown for their strong trends, which is why we are all here in the first place.

There are so many easy trades, trading with HTF trend, I think the mindset should be "I am looking for retracement to enter with HTF trend", NOT "here is a reversal that is going to turn the entire markets, and I am going to get a huge reversal"

The later rarely happens, the former happens most of the time !!

You're right Marty, I'm exactly the same, I always go in ahead of time, but thanks to this thread I'm starting to have to act calmly and deliberately.

Thanks Marty, wise words, sometimes a different mindset is required to properly read HTF, I have the feeling of being always "late" and selling the bottoms, or buying the tops, but that's what SL are for, to avoid getting caught in the wrong side on a real reversal.
The rules are so clear regarding this that should be painless. The most difficult thing I guess is to properly take the losses, sit and wait (especially if you have only a few hours of trading time). Anyway having a look at the daily/weekly charts is reassuring, trends are long and full of opportunities!

I never had a position on the Kiwi or the Aussie today due to the budget, so I was doing other things instead. I had a short on EU for most of the day but I Killed it at +10 as the bears seem to be exhausted for now.......

if I may ask, why don't you like trading eur/gbp and GBP pairs?
