It's not a MA. I have to honor RJ's wishes as stated in his first post, not to introduce any indicators I may be using in correlation with the Genesis strategy. Everything he teaches about Genesis is in the first post, and in this thread. The chart set up you see is just my preference, from my own trading experience. I have other filters that I use in addition, that cannot be seen, thus the reason for the cropped chart I've posted.

Awesome thread. Thanks RJ and all other key players.

I'm on page 61. Lots of reading left to do, haha.

Quick question. Which pivot point/R123/S123 indi do you all use on the Genesis template? Obviously those SR lines are a very important part of this system. I've downloaded about 4 different ones but would like to hear what the main traders of this use (and possibly get a link? ... Also, is the 5pm EST close (NewYork session close) the agreed upon close for calculating the Pivots?

I'll read thru the whole thread but it will take time.

The correct pivot information is at actionforex Select the 'Daily tab

The pivot point indi is supplied for you in the zip file on Post #1.

Pivots do vary because brokers just will not adhere to a standard which sucks. However, as Jamz has said above, actionforex pivots are correct. So, the pivots drawn on your chart by the supplied indi *must* match (almost exactly) those in the table at actionforex. If they do not, get another broker. Don't be fooled into trying a different indi....the pivot calculation is very simple, and all indi's use the same calc.....it's the data supplied by the broker that can vary, which gives false pivots....iow...rubbish data in = rubbish pivots shown!!

So you won't be posting charts with Coral, Ichimoku and other THV indicators anymore......correct? You don't need these things on your chart and you don't need "other filters". If you're going to use "other filters" then you aren't trading the Genesis system....all you are doing is adding the matrix to another system.
