Any trader that wants to slap down gobs of lots and hold a trade for peanut pips over spread, and then cash out, well that trader doesn't need any method! Why should he/she even bother to be here?

I had no person in mind when I said that. I said what I said about big size trades/few pips vs very small trade sizes/strive for large pips because that is fundamental to the Sonic R. System, which was never intended for big lot small pips traders. A person that trades that way sets himself/herself apart from the masses the Sonic R. System is intended to help. And the next thing that happens is there will be pressure to make system "adjustments" to cater to them. After doing that, it will all be down hill from there with a morphed method that no longer best serves those it intended to serve.

For the same reason (to be a system for the "average guy" to go against Goliath) it is pips, not money, we use as a gauge. Every person can keep their privacy and convert their pips to "money and % increase of account" privately.

I fully agree with you here.
I treat trading as a business hence money matters at the end of the business cycle.
I also agree that this thread is where Sonicdeejay is the thread owner wants everyone to participate in Sharing and Caring. Let us not let one single person distract us with his two very dirty feet.

My thoughts to share with all:
Pips matters ...
$Money matter ...
Fact is that both matters

What also matters is the overall Risks of your trades and your Equity / Balance / Exposure.
You can look at your trades’ overall risk ‘R’ measured -
in pips,
in $money,
in % of Equity/balance.

If you average down your losing position and accumulate say 10 open trades, where is your stop loss in pips when the market proves you wrong? you keep adding more positions, and hope for the market to turnaround for you. Yes, that can happen and has happen. But then what is the total risks you have been exposed to. That is your ‘R’ whether you like that or not.
When the market is kind enough and you win some pips and some $money. What it the ratio of your wins compare to your initial ‘R’.
Let’s say your total risk is 1000pips. this is your overall ‘R’ in pips.
Your final exits make you + 600pips...
You final result is 0.6R.

What matters is also your reason(s) for trading this spot forex market where statisticians tell you 95% of traders lose money.
Can you make a decent living with $500 trading capital. Some say yes. Some say no.

I can trade micro lots with $500 and enjoy some fun here in Forex Factory posting and writing thousands of posts. But I won’t be able to pay my bills, my mortgage, put my children through school, go on holiday vacation, etc. ... but I can still feed those squirrels in my backyard.
I know many of you folks live in $ingapore where capital gain is not taxable. If your local tax authority starts to tax your forex trading gains, do you have a problem.
If you have a problem, then that will a happy problem which 95% or traders will love to have this happy problem.

Trading SonicR system is not a game of playing with large wins of pips. It is about making some money to supplement your income and it can become a replacement income in case you lose your fulltime job or when you decide one day to fire your boss. It is one of the roads togain financial freedom as a business owner through forex trading.

Thank you for your post above.

You had helped me with better understaning on the use of Volume with PA and cleared up a few misconception I had along the way. I know it is not easy to trade using Volume as priority over PA, so it is still PA with Volume as secodary decision making factor to pick out the higher probability trades.

Hi what i meant is the total number of shares being transacted betwwen the buyers and sellers on an exchange, in which is the demand and supply that drives the prices.

it is true that money is a private matter so people do not want to reveal too much.

well, my thoughts:
It does not matter to me whether FF members posted their trades with real money or demo money.
I look at the charts, I know what the market looks like in realtime. I know when I want to be buyer or seller.
I stopped paper trading many years ago, So by markink line and labeling charts to me is paper trading which is used for teachning.
If I want to share my trading with you here, the least I can do is use demo account money and show the trades entries and exits.
MT4 has good account hosirty data and can be used to analyse performance incldiung R multple analysis.

You are making some good post lately, I don't have time to reply to your posts, but I am learning from you too.Thank you for posting.

Your chart shows both SonicR VSA and the one below it is Better Violume 1.4, is there anything you look at and compare the two?
I know that SoncR VSA is a modified version from the original Better Volume 1.4 and the latter has a average level showing.

Hope we can share our experience using these two here.

every approach to trade the market be that techncial analysis, fundamental analysis, mix of both, etc. has its strength and weakness. We must always evaluate the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats of every market type and condition we see on our charts.

that is why it is very important we adopt a proven risk management strategy in our investments and trading.
the fundamental rule is to preserve our investment/trading capital and to grow it and not to give it away recklessly.

This one I do not agree with you.

Every investment / trade has to come with a known measured risk before one jump into the market.

You need to know when you get in and when you will get out. These are the know parameters you must decided.

This is what I learn from renowned coaches like Dr Van Tharp. ... and not simply any any bloke here is FF peddling his experiment.

PVSRA Results for 1st Six Weeks

The following are the results of my trading the Sonic R. System using PVSRA to determine if MMs are bulls or bears, and then trading the price action I see.

Week ending 04/05
1289 pips gained, 7 trades totaling 19 parts (18 parts winners), and averaging 67+ pips per all parts.

Week ending 04/12
1891 pips gained, 9 trades totaling 28 parts (all winners), averaging 67+ pips per all parts.

Week ending 04/19
2160 pips gained, 9 trades totaling 31 parts (29 parts winners), averaging 69+ pips per all parts.

Week ending 04/26
2640 pips gained, 6 trades totaling 34 parts (all winners), averaging 77+ pips per all parts.

Week ending 05/03
2530 pips gained, 6 trades totaling 24 parts (23 parts winners), averaging 105+ pips per all parts.

Week ending 05/10
3050 pips gained, 7 trades totaling 33 parts (all winners), averaging 92+ pips per all parts.


All of these trades, all of the trade parts thereof, were posted real-time right here on the Sonic R. System thread, using crystal clear easy to understand charts and explanations regarding PVSRA reasons for entries, whether Classic or Scout trades.

For a "bloke" with an "experiment" things are looking quite nice! I have to laugh at the posts of this guy that constantly drops the names of others of some renoun, and the titles of materials on trading that have garnered some renoun, as if to give himself credibility. But he provides only unsubstantiated claims as to how well he is personally doing; no ongoing real-time trade postings, only excuses for not doing so, and criticisim of someone else that is doing a lot more to help others than he is willing to do! Call me a "bloke" with an "experiment", but smile when you say it yeller feller, because by comparison to this "bloke" you are nothing but a bloated, puffed up with self-importance, cheap shot counterfeit.
