Yes I can. But since I'm new I'm not good at choosing a broker. And unfortunately this broker gave me money to trade. And for this I am forced to trade at this broker.

I see.....but if you are forced to trade at a broker who won't accept your trades, then there is no point in being there surely?

Morning/evening to all,

Just yesterday I watched one video tutorial about trading with stochastics and there was a part of it regarding divergences. It was mentioned that so called "horizontal" divergence works approximately in 95% of cases. And here is a good example from yesterday on UJ. Would be great if experienced members share their opinion.

That's essentially a regular bullish divergence.....check out the divergence cheat sheet on Post #1. It doesn't much matter whether the candles are forming a lower low or not....as long as they are not forming higher lows of course. The point is that a divergence exists.

Not sure about the 95% rate, but it's always good to watch these divergences because in many cases, especially on the higher TF's, they can be very reliable

The majority of the trades I take on m5 are based on divergence from the higher timeframes. You have to be careful though not to jump in until confirmed thats the mistake most people make where divergence is concerned. Take a look at ej h1 chart yesterday well before the big move up thats the reason I was only in longs on m5. Sorry I can't post a chart at the moment as Im on a mobile phone.

That is what I did before posting that picture. The main reason why I posted it is that there is a "horizontal" divergence formed there, at least that is how it's explained in the video. It's significant distinction from regular bullish divergence (where price forms LL) is that it will work fast and is highly reliable whereas divergence with LL in PA might work only after PA continues to move in the same direction but with lower speed.

I once had a stoch indie that put lines on a chart when divergence had ocurred.

There were so many false signals, I took them off.

In that video lecturer emphasizes that divergence on stoch itself is not a signal to enter, but rather notification that PA is likely to reverse. He says it works almost perfect when price is stuck on some horizontal S/R level but stoch is not confirming that move will continue and printing a divergence.

I have (probably) the same indi on my other machine....I took it off for the same reason.

I guess different strokes for different folks....but I do observe divergence, especially on the larger timeframes, but like lastingwell says, confirmation is essential.....and like you say, I wait for the signals. Having said that, if I get the entry signal as the divergence is confirmed, or shortly after, then I'm usually a happy camper

I am not doubting that, but the words "lecturer" and "perfect", make me think

There is no such thing as "perfect", but if it works for you ..... great

And if divergence occurs on some important level (on HTF) I'll definitely put a note in my book

When it comes to divergence, is using stochastics better than CCI? Forexcube in FF is a good scalper (I think) and he insists CCI is the best....
