scared to place a long trade right now even though the bulls are winning all bets.. scared for a retracement cos it myt just take out my sl b4 heading back north (happen b4 a couple).. anybody see a retracement somewher pls let me know..

Physics, when I look at institutional traders I confirm with the CoT report. The CoT report is derived every Thursday and does not get released till every Monday. You can get cought in the wrong direction if you are not being super careful when analyzing Big Dogs

By the end of next week, the Obama administration will no longer be able
to borrow money to fund government operations because Congress has only
agreed to extend the government's borrowing authority until May 19. While he has smartly expressed his preference that the most liquid bond market in the world "not default,", Speaker Boehner will take to the lectern this morning at 1045ET to discuss the upcoming "debt prioritization" bill. As Reuters notes, House Republicans are expected to pass the bill today that would require the Obama administration to prioritize government debt payments and retirement benefits if Congress fails to reach a deal to raise the U.S. debt ceiling. The legislation is not expected to go anywhere in the Democratic-controlled Senate and the White House has said it will veto the bill, but what is essentially a tactical maneuver will allow the Republicans, who control the House, to argue they have done their best to avoid a potential U.S. credit default. We are sure the M.A.D. defense card will be played at least once...

Sypher, do not let VSA fool you. The only real volume in the FX market is tick volume. If you are going to analyze volume and trade it accordingly within the FX market you need to focus on Futures Volume.... You will need to find a broker that will give you unlimited live demo for Futures, and see where the volume is being pumped into and you can then assess that in the currency market. Now again you will need to look at 2 separate future markets: EURO Futures, and USD Futures.

If you want to analyze volume in the FX market you better start learning CoT because that is the only place you will find contracts reported by small traders via their brokers, hedge funds and large banks (large traders), and Industry hedge traders that offset their profit/loss these are called Commercial traders.

I personally think the Euro got ran down while they were sleeping. I am long from 1.3041 with a stop loss of yesterday's close. Or am I just a idiot?

Don't really understand what you mean by balancing the books.
Books are always balanced at any time in every automated system at any company including banks.
It is impossible not to be balanced.
Every entry requires a debit and an equal credit post, otherwise the system will not enter it.

I meant to say a stop loss of yesterday's low. And this is like déjà vu for me, the American's run it down on Thursday afternoon, and by Friday morning it is right back to where it started.

I have run various companies for over 30 years

You not quite right, in business, any business, books are rarely balanced, it is virtually impossable to keep them balanced.
Only time they are "balanced" is when you reconciliate them, and even then they rarely balance out.
Accounts are virtually always dynamic, example, common spreadsheet, income / expenditure always changing, as accounts are paid in / out, quoting, tendering, monies owed, right offs, taxation, etc, these thing are alway fluid

For trading, the only secured profits are when you close out a position, even trailings and/or BE+ are not gauranteed income, even a position 500 pips green, means shit "until " it is closed out

Every debit needs a credit.
You can even balance the books at a certain time with a credit or debit for unrealized profit or loss, like at 12-31 of any year.

Of course that can change the next minute.

yep but "unrealized" only works on paper, very hard to pay accounts with "unrealized profit" I think its dangerous practice to trade / business with paper accounts, is much safer and wiser to only accommodate "real" profits or money in the bank,

Anyway trading, I think ladies have taken a nice dump, and consolidating now for next move, gator gave a nice aussie resist yesterday 8253 I had 8252 Tuesdays open, pretty much played out to the pip, I think he will be very happy with the 1st leg of dump

hella dollah strength in effect. hit my short yen target today and cashed most in a week before expiration, a little house money to run til next Friday for good measure. Traders at the top have been talking up a pullback in US stocks so much that it will probably just come to pass, and tomorrow could be the day if the Fed Heads talk hawk. I am 100% dry powder.
