I had noted down the page numbers of important posts. All a bit jumbled up now! Did not note down the post numbers! Was a smart thing to do!

Not your fault....how can we possibly expect that FF would change the number of posts per page?.....we can complain via this link at the foot of the page....

Finding and taking only HPT is the main difficulty in Genesis system for me. I still trade signals which occure to be not HPT Taking trades i am frequently not sure if it is HPT or not.
Few weeks ago you have recorded great video about Stochs. It was far more than helpfull for us.
If i may ask you about the same in HPT topic. 3-4 examples of HPT and few examples of nonHPT with explanation why.
If you could find time to make video i think it would be very helpful for everybody.
I am just kindly asking.

Another approach could be, spending time analysing old charts, finding strong moves, looking at all the corroborating evidence, and defining your own HPT setups ??

Just a thought

The main reasons, are confluence of HTFs aligning and news.

That's probably all it involves.

That would almost certainly qualify as spoon-feeding, but I admit I'd love to watch some videos, they give a better idea of the thought process even if you already know where every piece of the puzzle fits.
In the meantime I stick to my stoch / candle / MA / pivots / trend / previous swing for the SL / etc cheatsheet, but I keep missing something on the left of the chart. I know, I know: read! practice! read! practice! read! practice!

I have added Genesis Arrow Matrix on the 5 min chart with Arrow M 15 and H1. I still have the 5 min and 15 min arrows on the chart ( I know 15 min is a duplication, am going to get rid of 15 min arrow on chart soon).

I have also added H1 stochastic on the 15 min chart.

My plan is to take H1 arrow into consideration for finding HPT.

On the EUR/JPY M5 chart, at 08:15 GMT, point A, price action, matrix, M5, M15 stochastics were aligned, but Arrow Matrix M5 and M15 were red. At the same time, a look at M15 chart (line B) tells us that the direction is still down. Hence, did not consider it a HPT.

On the other hand, line C, 00:50 GMT was a high probability setting as price action, matrix, Min 5, Min 15 stochastics and Min 15 and H1 Arrow were all in agreement, a HPT that I missed! At the moment, the H1 stochastics I am using as a guide for HTF. Need to polish it a bit more, I think.

Discussions welcome. RJ/ Marty, do you agree.

PS: I am sorry about the 60 sma on the screen cap, I know it is not quite Genesis.

In the 13,000 posts, and 1,900 images posted, you're telling me that *you* still do not understand what constitutes a HPT.....and that instead of putting in the effort to figure it out you want *me* to GIVE more. Just how much more do you want from me?......blood?

HEAR THIS......FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME.....everything you require is IN THIS THREAD. Be proactive and figure this out for yourself.

Way to go RJ -- people have to learn to trade their own way, not be told when to click the mouse. Why do we stay with FF? Because it lets us learn so much by reading and reviewing. Tried hard to find funny blood-sucking picture but they might be too frightening!

You're on the right track......A HTP is just that....High Probability...not guaranteed!! It's like I was saying the other day....when there are 9 positive reasons to enter a trade, then it's a pretty safe bet that the trade stands a good chance of it working out...iow....a HPT. I guess 9 out 10 isn't good enough for some people, but for most of us who accept that there is no guarantees in this business, it's still a HPT!!

I don't do it quite the same way you're testing, but if it works for you, then that's all good.

Don't worry about the 60sma....I have relaxed the rule just a little bit because there was a lot of interest in the MA's Marty uses, and the 60 sma is pretty common too.

I am trying to formulate a check list for HPT. I am still in the process of adding and deleting things from the check list. Will post once I am happy.

I am defining HPT trade as one that has, say 60-70% probability of going right (80-90% will be really good). With 1:1 or 1:2 risk to reward ratio, the net should be positive.

I am yet to incorporate a firm method of analysing the higher time frames. Once that is done, I will feel confident. I have, at least to my own satisfaction, understood stochastics right (for my level of experience).

Genesis identifies precisely when to pull the trigger. What I think I need is an objective way of analysing the higher time frames. Like I said, adding the Arrow Matrix and H1 stochastics is helping me a lot. Still work in progress for me.
