Well yes it was bearish but target was 1.306 and which is already touched. PA is still not clear but I believe on those "news" too. Since last couple of months, "news" decided the direction many times. So for me long here is good opportunity. Well losing - gaining are part of this market, learning is important. So let's see what lesson will this market teach me this time!

almost all movements are just pullbacks, judging the pa atm, it looks like the weekly bulls waited at 1.305x..

How did you arrive bottom @ 3031 ? what I assumed it to be 3036.

Erm, if it was so clear, weekly would close below ,3075. Both month and week ended up bullish, though weekly candle is not that great. The only thing which was short term clear is that Draghi always talks Euro down . Another thing which was clear, was Oil shooting up due to events in Syria, draging USD up, sending our pair down. So the odds for today were bearish. Nevertheless, both of these events could be offset by rally in European equities. Unfortunaltely, DAX today -0,14%, Eurostoxx50 -0,58%, only FTSE is holding up 0,94%. But that is the only one. Overall, not good day for Euro for sure, but someone may went long.

You were short. Well done. I don't like trading in the direction of retail positioning which is clearly bearish EURUSD, and the technicals supported stance that until late last week.
However, the picture is not good for longs now so I am out. I don't like being on the side of retail positioning even if the technicals support it because I end up with a battle in my head - technicals vs retail positioning.
There are better fish to fry, where the technicals are against retail positioning.

This is a speculative trade - against the move. The way I see it - price was stuck in a small range for hours and then it moves one way most likely caused by taking stops that accumulated for the last few hours (there is no fundamental reason behind it so far as I know)

I'm just guessing and accordingly risking a certain amount which I'm comfortable with losing in case I'm wrong (if it goes below a certain technical level that would make me change my mind).

Put it simply - I'm trying a bit of bottom catching

I may go long based on 5mn...only if i see a double bottom at 1,305x with a bullish setup, otherwise new lows.
