Hi everyone.

It's good to see Math back in action. I presume MaxDoom is still away at present as he is conspicuous by his absence.

I was away for most of last week; this week I am a bit distracted by the anticipated imminent demise of an uncle over whom I have a power of attorney. However, right now, I am sitting on my hands until there is a clear signal of where EU is heading. If Draghi lowers the rate, maybe there will be a spike downwards; however, maybe it's already priced in.

So, I am erring on the side of caution until all my usual boxes have been ticked. I must confess to a bearish bias at present.

In my View the PA is pointing towards 1.3400. However, with this rate cut speculations, it seems like everyone is on hold while Super Mario gets ready to shoot craps.. lol just 60 more minutes to go roughly.

Luck has no place in trading. Leave that for the poker table.

Hey guys,, here´s a view of e/u for the coming few days,,,
on the daily the pair looks a bit overbought and the price is struggling to remain above 1.3200,, given that 1.3175- 1.32 offers a bit of resistance on the daily, and last night it closed around 1.3175... Also yesterdays candle looks like a reverse pin which suggests that a shift in the trend for the the following few days might be in place, hence a short set up to the 100 ma (red) around 1.30 (+ - 50 pips) , though the 200 ma (pink) @ 1.31-1.3130 might offer a bit of a hassle since that area is a resistance area

On the contrary the h4 chart is a bit oversold and has made a reverse pin, therefore it might give e/u a lift for the next few hours so it may take it to around 1.3220-40 again before beginning the move down to around 1.30

Having said all that, Draghi and the US news might change the whole scenario so you never know,, just my opinion..

some interesting numbers for you guys

13 weeks since 1 feb high
5 weeks up since last low 13 and 5 fib numbers

11 days high to high on daily 11 lucas number
19 days since 4th april low 18+1 lucas number

got 64 trading days since 1 feb top wich is a harmonic number
got 90 calender days gann number and bible number
yesterday was 89 calenderdays and where we got our high 89 is a fib number
161 days since 2012 september top 610 fib number and 161 is a prime number
50 percent retracement was hit

we got almost exactly 500 pips on this leg

you can also find 0,00262 in this move play with decimal point and you get 2,62 really close to 2.618 fib ratio

just found also add price of this high together with 24 april low you get 2,61953 also really close to 2.618 fib ratio

alot of numbers getting together just like the top of 1st februari

have a heavy short on my "play" account

Now when I am looking at charts more closely, 3161 actually aint minor as was holding H4. So, right now we are pretty close again and 3172 got defended on H1, so we may go poof down. Lets wait.

Yeap but very very thin market.

Pre-positioning for the actual rate announcement is for a cut with a reaction below 1.31xx on the knee jerk reaction. Real moves come after depending on the decision and conference and those are clearly pointing to the other side so far. Crystal clear plays for the ECB and from them only an overshoot on the cut (0.5) with an aggressive ECB joining the party can change the outlook.

Plenty of action still to come that can, and most prolly, can delay the start of the move as late as next week if ECB/NFP only meet expectations. A "lagging" play of the FED/ECB/NFP and Monthly roll combo play will be a lot easier to handle and allow topping up positions ....
