Could someone clear something up for me. I see some here entering while Trend is obviously in "oversold" territory and moving up yet you sell on cross?

Oh, and one more. If I understood KingClarence's posts correctly, the TDI time line broke through the up zone, came back down and was heading towards the mid zone

Thanks for the reply ;-) I'm thinking of joining the thread seeing as I need a longer term trading method to complement my intraday trading...

See you all tuesday...

If you ever wanted to see what happens when a bunch of EMAs converge, check out AUD/USD.

21/50/100/200 are all merging which means that we have a solid price barrier. together with the Demand Zone that formed, that will need some major PA to punch through, so I will reset my TP goal accordingly on this trade and this may well indicate a pause for the AUD pairs

If we are seeing the AUD lose momentum in one direction then maybe look for something going north - how about ERU/AUD.

APB colour change bar was not very impressive, although the candle reversal pattern is good.

TDI coming out of 32 zone with a fresh cross.

RSI 10 still below 50

10 and 21 EMA not really challenged with about 120pips to go before EMA 21 comes into play.

May be worth a shot from the H4 chart for the entry point, depends on whether the current channel holds. More of a speculation set up seeing as PA is slow.

GBP/AUD is having a third attempt at breaking out of its recent day zone

Nice APB colour change

TDI cross confirmed

RSI 10 >50

PA leaving major Demand Zone

The major fly in the ointment is the 21EMA which has yet to be crossed and held by PA, so there may be a dynamic resistance in play here.

Entry Point would look to be a break of the recent Fractal Highs

Hi David, Re: GA on the Daily. One of the things that I watch for may be playing out here. I see the TDI Bollinger Bands in a Squeeze with both limbs under 50 and RSI breaking the upper band. May be an additional indication of a pending move.

Good point, also the Trade Signal Line is on the rise and you often see better entry points with that condition.

I would imagine that with the Easter weekend, nothing much will happen with the GBP pairs until Tuesday, so worth keeping a pending trade.

You get the feeling that after the BOJ news, NFP will an anticlimax!

Sometimes you just need to be lucky - I was short on GJ yesterday after entering on H4 Fractal Low break and decided to close before the BOJ news just as a precaution and took 90 pips after PA stalled and pulled back 30pips.

ATR 7 was running @ 60 pips and my SL was running as a TS 50, so I had achieved my TP target of ATR 7 X 1, but was leaving it to run until the stall out.

Shame that I didn't have anything long on the yen and I wasn't able to watch the charts last night, so hope you all caught some pips.

Hey,

Been a long time lurker on FF and wanted to introduce my self.

I have been messing about with different systems and signal services for ages but the time has come for me to stop giving my money away to someone else and make it on my own.

I first came across Big E's thread about a year and half ago, but like others here, because of work I couldnt do 4h candles. I actually started doing TMS but on daily charts recently but loosing pips but then, I stumbled across this thread with much interest last week and planning on diving right in.

I dont have alot of experience and would consider myself a noob, but im hoping that following this thread and learning from the success of you guys that this will change over time.

Now for a question

Britpip7: the chart you posted above, did you take this trade? I did but am a bit weary because of how close it is to the blue box (support/demand?) as its less then 150 pips and i remember reading that over 150 was ok.

Finders crossed I have found a system that works for me.

Happy pipping

Hi Madpips - welcome.

I did not take the aud/cad trade - other commitments the past couple of weeks.

As ATR was 70 pips, TP1 would have successfully closed and TP2 worst case was BE. The Supply zone was getting close, however, with it being further away than TP!, it should have had enough room.

As it turned out the Supply Zone held and the top of the box became a double top from 3/20

I'll be posting again next week.

Go to paperclip and trawl through the attachments and check out the file names

"training" and "add-on" / "add-ons" are the key words / phrases if you can get the FF search function to work

TDI thoughts and observations.

Generally, the TDI Mid Zone / Trade base line (blue) likes to be around the 50 level. If it strays to the 32 / 68 zones, or even breaks through these zones, then PA will very likely reverse.

Any time the TDI Trade Signal Line and the RSI Price Line break the 32 . 68 levels, watch for reversals.

The Trade Signal line also gives some clues on where PA is heading. the attached chart shows horizontal sky blue lines to highlight the Trade Signal Line reversing.

It is not normal to have a strong TDI entry signal if the cross goes against the direction of the Trade Signal Line. What this means is that when the Trade Signal Line is heading down and the RSI Price Line crosses and heads up, this is probably not going to be supported by PA,

Notice how the Trade Signal Line flattens out after a trend run and once there is an APB colour change, the PA will confirm the TDI Cross. Wait for the second candle to confirm the PA and wait for the Trade Signal Line to confirm the direction and you will have stronger entries. Just for fun, I expanded the Indicator Window 2 to really show how this looks.

We are always looking for the silver bullet to get in earlier, however, if you can increase the probability of a successful trade entry but you have to give up 10 or 20 pips to do so, would you?

Anyway, here's another brilliant hindsight training chart that may show you how it should look - now ll you have to do is make it work on a live chart!

For back testing, use the 1 X ATR7 value for your TP1 and see how many times it is hit for your favourite pair. Then see what happens if you use 2XATR7 for TP2. Play with the values and keep lots of notes / spreadsheets. Build you stats and figure out your probability of success for the settings.

Happy pip hunting

aud nzd looking interesting with the current Supply / Demand Zones holding.

Current Demand Zone is a 3 year low and this is the 3rd time PA has visited the zone this time around following the reversal back in February. Still needs PA to confirm.

Trade Signal Line has flattened and is trending up and moving away from the 32.

TDI cross is not yet confirmed by PA which was heading south on Friday.

RSI 10 below 50

EMA10 not yet broken
