You shorted right into the demand, which was also a falsebreak/bear trap that is always mentioned in this thread.

Hi all,
EJ FTB from setup to FLS definition. I am quite happy for the selection of DPs including TP. Would like to have comments and critics on the various assumptions I annotated on the charts.

A WE will involve price fully breaking / engulfing the demand then trading it back at the return. Another characteristic of a WE type trade would be that price moves with very good momentum through the demand - effectively creating ignored demand in the process.

VLTF trading / scalping is proving to be very challenging, I still have a lot more losing trades. Probably because I'm jumping in after every movement, and occasionally selling into demand and buying into supply.
But this kind of trading has a lot of potential and I'm sticking to it.

The attached EU trade uses the concepts of demand engulf and compression (notice the few failed shorts 1 hour earlier).

Lovejoy80, I am reading the thread a bit at time so, if this question was already answered, please forgive me.

The question is if you use the trend on some significant time frame to filter out trades?
For example, if the 1hr chart is giving higher highs and higher lows, you only take longs from demand areas and vice-versa for shorts?

Sold EUR/CAD @ 1.3470 based on 4H Supply + 15M Whipsaw Engulfing + 5M Bull Trap, closed 2/3 @ 1.3440 for + 60 pips, and closed the remainder @ 1.3410 for + 60 pips.

Also got some nice pips from GBP/AUD short.

Missed a few setups today. EUR/NZD short (based on Daily Supply + 1H Whipsaw Engulfing + 5M Whipsaw Engulfing) is one of them.

That ECAD scenario is a personal favourite.

Hey Tomek. How's your trading coming along these days? I've been on a business trip for about two weeks, and there will be another two week trip at the end of this month. Damn!! Actually I'm very scared by N. Korea's latest in a barrage of threats....

Hey Sang. Plodding along with the trading. Yeah, the news coming out from N.Korea isn't exactly optimistic.

Can you tell me how to identify the bull trap you traded off here ?

At what point do you see that the bull trap is finished and you should go short ?

Couple of FTB's from yesterday:

1. EURGBP - nice SR area but should be a clear pass due to the strong impulsive move down.

2. NZDJPY - clear SD zone with substance.
