Pushed through previous 1.3122 highs to test above the upper Bollinger. Yesterday spot broke a key fibo level although closed back below the line. Stick with the buy dips strategy for now as we do not rule out a run towards the 50% fibo of the Jan/Apr slide in the 1.3200s. Keep stops tight. (AH)

stop on EURUSD moved up to 1.3040 - locked in 105-if taken out then we might get an opportunity to get long at 1.2934/67

EUR/USD drops through 1.31

EUR/USD easily cut through short-term bids in the 1.3100 area, expect some interest around 1.3080 which is the bottom of the last dip and the 61.8% retracement of today’s rally.
More interest at 1.3040 with stops below.

Got to prepare for some client meetings and dont have time to baby sit.

Have an existing long @ 1.3131 should Ms Market grace its presence.

as anticipated yesterday Scenario 1 is playing out, so I would be very careful selling the EUR/USD. Not until we get into the 1.3340-60 area. At that point a retrace into the 1.3140 area is possible.

If it does head north, it will stumble around 3180, and either move from there will define the course of the next couple of days. Otherwise, I tend to believe that it will retract as far as 1.29.

May I suggest that you read the first post of this thread and then post in accordance with PTs instructions.

And as for "If you are going to make a bold statement and represent it as fact, please back it up with authoritative references." I only post what I suppose, and I suppose nothing about forex market can seriously be represented as fact.

1. For second day in a row, 38.2% fib / 50 day MA have capped gains
2. These levels also line up with a series of daily highs in early March
3. Look for a pullback to begin from here - 200 day MA retest at 1.2910?

1. Bulls need to clear 1.3150 & trip large stops above
2. Then need to pass 1.3163 to be fully in charge
3. On the downside bids rest 1.3060/80 & 1.3040/45
4. A break below the latter level builds a case for a s-t top put in place

[NEW YORK April 11, 2013 20:08 GMT] NY opened NY 1.3125. Europe spiked the pair to new trend high at 1.3138. Talk of Asian offering interest ahead of 1.3150 capped the rally. Better than f/c US jobless claims gave the USD a bid early on and bouts of JPY strength had EUR/USD & EUR/JPY on their heels. Kuroda stated the 2% target was flexible according to Nikkei & JPY rallied to spike EUR/JPY down to 130.40 from 130.80. JPY bears were squeezed further on large USD/JPY strikes for the NY cut & allowed EUR/JPY to test s-t support near 129.70/75. EUR/USD followed suit to trade from 1.3135 to 1.3085. After the option interest cleared EUR bounced back as JPY cross buying resumed. EUR/JPY gave up early losses to hit a new high of 131.10 before settling near 130.85 into the close. EUR/USD bounced back to 1.3138 but failed again & sat near 1.3100 near the end of the day. Bulls need to clear 1.3150 & trip large stops above & then clear 1.3163 to be fully in charge. On the downside bids rest 1.3060/80 & 1.3040/45. A break below the latter level builds a case for a s-t top put in place. Europe’s data calendar is light so US retail sales likely give EUR/USD its next cue.

3. EUR support from fact ECB only G3 central bank not in aggressive easing mode
4. Solid resistance at 1.3140/50 where 55-day and 100-day moving averages found
5. Hourly support formed at 1.3085 with break below targeting 1.3040/45
6. EUR/JPY flows out of Tokyo will be key to direction in Asia
