I just today resumed trading with Dukas after about 1 year. I honestly really wanted to make them "my broker", despite some of the bad things I saw recently here regarding slippage. I was short AUD/US when Employment data came out. The market reacted against my position I had stops around the 1.0322 area and got filled at 1.0352 area. Now perhaps I am an idiot and do not understand the slippage control, which I had set at .2 pips. This whole slippage control, >>> I am not sure if i get that. You have a stop loss , to me it should get...

Dear Bendover1960,

According to your description of the issue, you would have placed slippage control .2 for a stop loss order executed during a news time. Please note that Dukascopy’s trading system does not allow to set any slippage control for stop loss orders (closing orders). The slippage control functionality is available only for entry stop orders (opening orders).

Concerning slippage on stop loss orders during news time, we would like to remind some facts to be considered when making an opinion. The stop loss level triggers the order on market at the exact moment when the price touches or goes through the specified level. The probability that the price during a news time will be quoted exactly on the level you have set and will freeze until your order is filled is, as you probably understand, extremely small. In the vast majority of cases, the stop loss gets triggered on a news time after the level has been already passed. In these cases slippage is predefined from the price movement mechanism. In other words it is predictable to notice slippage in news time situations. Considering the number of orders executed, the decrease of available liquidity and the higher volatility during news time, the probability of suffering significant slippage is automatically higher during those moments.

However, should traders consider that an order execution was not fair, they shall contact Dukascopy’s Support Desk and request an investigation. By the its code of ethics, Dukascopy analyses every complaint and considers compensation requests on a case by case basis.

Unfortunately, we could not identify any open complaint from you and we invite you to contact your Relationship Manager or to write to [email protected] or at [email protected].

Best regards

Dukascopy Bank SA

Can any of you guys that opened an account through an Introducing Broker let me know how the process went? Looking for the best % cashback I can get, at the moment that seems to be molecule6 with 45%.

But a lot of unknown IBs offer 49 or even 50%, but I worry about getting paid with them. Also as I understand it, once you signup the deduction of the rebates and their placement in your account is automatic so it doesn't really matter if you choose an unknown IB cos Dukascopy will pay you automatically? Am I wrong on this?

Any tips on how to get the most cashback back? Looking to open account under dukascopy swiss

Me - 2 years with Dukascopy. I have 49% back, automatically, every month, with no problem.
If IB stops to be IB - I thinks it's the only situation when you also loose your 49%. It can happen, even with molecXX, but I don't think it's common. I have no problems and worries about that.

I would imagine the only risk with an IB is its reliability in paying you the rebates. Since your money is not with them so there is no issues of losing any money with them (I wouldn't go for any IB's that you have to deposit money with UNLESS they are heavily regulated by a reputable financial regulatory body). So it's a just a matter of them paying you the rebates on time on a consistent basis. And it's supposed to be automatic once you open a live account with Dukascopy with the mention of the IB and everything is verified. BUT mind you, anytime when they fail to pay you the rebates or fail to pay you on time, you will be paying the relatively high commission charged by Dukascopy at $3.5 on a standard lot, that's $7 round turn.

Ok, first, it is not an IB (broker) but IA, introducing agent. I don't have time to check it for sure now, but I'm convinced payment is automatic - there's no way for the IA to not pay you. You can probably still read on Dukascopy's website by yourself what to do to become their IA, there's not much to do. And once you choose you'll giving 45 or 49% to people who sign with you, you can't change it. And can't keep people's money, Dukascopy pays automatically 49% back to clients account and 1% to IA's. That's it.
Every month I have in my statement position like: "Deposit - IA Discount February 2013". My IA is "tools for trader" since 2011.02.

Find another IA or IB which really are the same nowadays. With Dukascopy, there are PLENTY around. Here is a link of a rating page of IA/IB's if you want to find out more about them:

Dear All,
I am using Jforex (Dukascopy).

See the attached screen, both TP and SL are displayed as horizontal lines ... What I wanted is to see the BID/ASK value(s) for all my market orders on the chart as well. Is that possible?

And a second question, I enabled the "1 click" option, and disabled "verification" however i still need to pass through two screens to execute a market order. Any ideas hoe to remedy this?

Thanks,

S.

You only need one if "your" Bank does not have "direct" transacting with Dukascopy Bank.
Is your Bank a small local Bank somewhere?
