thanks for your help Favorite, on your AUDUSD example you see TDI hasn't got a nice angle and so one has to wait for momentum to seperate green from red. So on H1 one would have to enter on that larger bar down no?

In the lower white rectangle we see that the green line first went down, then started to go up and come closer to the red line than it was at the beginning and then the green line bounced off the red line. That's a bounce! In the upper white rectangle we can see that the Price Action supported this bounce, we can see price going up much higher than a couple of previous candles, and then it goes down. {image} {image}

AUDUSD got stopped! Seems I need to rather trade on H4 as H1 turned quickly against me. H4 also turned back up even though it was curling over. EURUSD still got my short but down 15 pips, might close it here as reasons for entering are waning! Bad day but good lessons.

It is just not your day. That's why I switched to M1 - if you have a good system and play by the rules you don't depend on the market manipulations that bad as H1/H4 traders. Much easier to handle the news too.

OK, here's how you know when to take your profit looking just at TDI, without any fibs, MAs and BS. It is not the only method, but you have to pay attention to this all the time. You look at the H1 TDI. When the distance between the green line and red line becomes more than 10, it usually shows there will be a pullback, it's a good time to take the profit, you can re-enter later On my picture red line is 47.5762, green line 36.8102, the difference is approximately 10.8 {image}

That's a bounce! And AUDUSD we don't see this "coming closer-going separate" thing. AUDUSD just going down and the distance between the red line and the green line becoming bigger and bigger. It is not a bounce!

Hi dunggiggs! It is the same original TDI indicator, you don't have to do anything. Just look at the last two figures (I marked them with a white circle), the first one shows the green line's data and the last one shows the red line data. Picture shows that the green line is 28.9540 and the red line is 34.7866, so the difference is 34.7866 minus 28.9540 is equal 5.8326, let's say it is 5.8 So it is much smaller than 10. When I see that the difference is closer to 8-9 I start watching closely, because usually at 10 pullback starts. {image}
