hehee, I hear you. Last few months I play indexes. Turned out to be much mooo than I expected. Does really solid signals. Sometimes is just funny. Just need to hold them pigzzz but so excited with the greeen I just wanted it in my wallet!
Done also for emerging currency shjit. Really delighted with results but as you said, Im already doing another science shjit with this indexes!

Im going long depending on where the EUR/USD closes

If the 18 day MA is up on the close and the 9 day is still up it could be an indication of a new trend. LONG even if I dont like it.

And then also if the ADX is > 16 000 with a 14,14 settig.

its the first time since Feb that the MA turned up after it turned down on 21 feb

Its a good indication of comming trends. The GBP trend turnd up also with the same setup.

If the close today is higher on the 9 and 18 MA ill open a position on the next day on the open. So to only buy in on the convermation of the uptrend.

otherwise Ill stand aside

Any opinions that differ ?

Also I use the DAYLY bar charts so that I can look at the overall trend and not just the hour to hour or less.
This is for a longer period trade, and not suited for 20 pip trades with this your TP target should be about 100 - 300 pips

In my opinion, fundamentals definitely influence valuations in the long term (weekly-monthly scale) - and that involves change of real positions by hedge funds and market makers.
It does not happen on any news release, those only create speculative opportunities. Technical levels govern short-term price action (daily and below)

But most importantly, any trend will continue its, so to say, trending until PA forces change it. No news releases have that capability. With the exception of nuclear war or sudden arrival of imaginary religious characters

and plus...only technical issue and analysis. All other is a bullshit. I guess when makers in their cartels decide to own a currency they do it on the board of course. And they do it before the news or fundament. Price is a promt spot attribute and not some MR.Doctor of Economy analysis from an ex DEUTFF environment. All bullshit!
As we go into, we see that EVERY FOOKING COUNTRY ON THE WORLD almost have a really serious situation and they are all foooked.. So no mambo jambo for me..only pay attention on timing of big news...i dont even care whats the result.

Tech drives, fundies cant keep up the shjiit.

This is truly a great way of looking at this. We are on the same page I will be watching the London close and make my decision. If what I see is true, we will be reaching some very important levels in a short period of time. I will PM you later today... Well done...

Yes, you are right about E/J for today. I only took one fresh E/J long then closed it for few pips as I feel today is a bit of mixed Risk-off day. Will wait for London close then decide later for E/J.

Don't have the skill to scalp so the other ways have to work looking at Daily/Weekly/Monthly support or resistance will usually can be a runner for at least few days for +++100 pips. Try larger TF such as Daily might help.

People opinions on euro change depending on the price that its quoting. I mean they don't change, but the behaviour does. For example Japanese bonds, yielding some miniscule %. Everyone knows its super risky yet they keep buying them. Or buying yen as safe heaven, things like that. Fundamentaly its wrong, but people still go for it.

That's so true mate... expand the horizons. In January I sat with a trader who finally explained the cross-currencies - especially the YEN pairs. And it was such a revelation to see it in action. For eg. if I was biased long EU sometimes, EJ would move 60 pips more in the same direction for an equivalent EU move of 15 pips.

As a result, we can all still be EU centric - but by mixing in all the different cross-currencies, newbies should be at least able to get a feel for what expert traders do - which is to try and look at all influencing factors.
