There are a few copies/versions in the thread. Simplest thing would be to search the thread's attachements (click on the pic of the paper clip at the top)

Hi biDC,

I love your charts and how clean they are.How do you change the candle color and make it stay.Everytime I change the color and close out my charts the candles always seem to go back to the red and blue when I reload the charts.

Keep up the good work!

Speaking of PA, any new starter should read all of the following attachments.

Especially the attached Phx62 S3-H1. Even though it's S3-H1, it's the same to TMS as Xman method is derived from this thread. This PDF shows the way of how Phx62, as well as any good trader, identifies and realises price action in the market.

There is another simple pdf table of Synergy Bar/Heiken Ashi of when best to enter/exit based on candle but cant find now. Basically look at the wick of the candle. Wick appear at both top & bottom of the candle means the bull & bear are fighting so trend may come to an end. Same as when the candles are getting smaller.
Candle with no bottom or top wick indicates strong trend so shouldn't exit etc...

I would suggest to use the simplest version (5 method), and start adding Price Action later. I find one of the reason why I fail is I'm in too much rush trying to integrate every aspect of Forex in my strategy.

Yep. I appreciate all the different perspectives, but when I try to factor in what other people do I make a mess of things. When I leave all the extra considerations out of the decision making process & just do what I know how to do I do fine. When I think about what this person would do this & what that person would do, I become hesitant & confused, & lose. Then when I look back later I think my plain old simple strategy would have worked, why didn't I do it? I need to be stubborn & stick to basics. (Or give my husband the rules & let him trade. He wouldn't know any different since he's not reading all these forums, tee hee.)

I suspect you are hungry of trading and this is a real reason why you decided tu put PA for "later". Starting your trader's live with lying to yourself is devastating your mind from early begening
With pure mechanical approach you will go not to far, only result will be loosing of your time and postponinig final succes...

Guys, WeepingMan, littlebunny and Jackub, no offense, but you make it way too complicated, and right now you're arguing: should you make it complicated immediately or should you wait and then make it complicated...

I don't want to argue, but it is an indicator-based system, and BigE've chosen the indicators the way that you don't need to add anything else to the system. You talk a lot about PA, overbought/oversold, levels, pivots etc. but what, do you think, stochastic, TDI and Synergy show to you?

If you think I'm just a smart aleck - read what BigE said (I'm sure he for-saw this kind of arguments):

Dean invented the TDI... and I removed all the extra lines to make it easy to look at and trade... same thing with his Synergy charts... I kept eliminating all the extras until we got down to what I trade now... no fluff. His charts and TDI are too busy for me... I like simplicity... He doesn't use the TDI the same way I do either...

Entries and exits... We Enter a trade when green crosses red on the TDI at the beginning of that candle... If it's candle 3 or more don't enter... find another trade set up. The only exception is if green bounces off red and continues... it's ok to re-enter on the bounce... Exit your trade when the green TDI line goes flat, starts to hook over or makes a check mark reversal. If you add other things it will influence your decisions... usually to your detrament. Don't try to complicate it thinking it can't be this easy.

We're not arguing, we're actually in agreement. Just trying to offer a little encouragement in our own different styles. As in, no, of course you're not a smart aleck, you're quite helpful; thanks.

You are the one of those guys I realy admire to listen to. Thanks to other FF members I am completly cleaned from negative feelings (Arjun), maybe my not correct english makes such feeling, if yes I do appologise. What I am trying to express is TMS trading system based on H1 or H4 makes plenty of time tu study to be conscious what I am doing. I had 18 months of struggling with forex before finally understood there is no shortcuts and solid base is necesary like in any kind of the busisnes. I am not at level to advice what to do or how to do, but can advice what not to do having all this very fresh in my memory ... so if I made bad feeeling I am arguing once again please appologise everyone

Come on, guys!

Arguing is not bad, as a matter of fact it is good!

There is a huge difference between arguing and quarreling!

I was not sure whether I should post my previous post, but then I remembered: a couple of days ago WeepingMan didn't know that BigE exited with a small loss when the price went against him, he didn't wait until the SL got hit.

What I'm trying to say: we don't have to make a system more complicated, everything we need is already in the system, BigE took care of everything, but the thread became so huge that new participants can't understand what is important, what is not important and what is even harmful. What is important BigE explained on the first 10-15 pages (50 pages tops), everything else is either not important or even harmful, and the new participants should concentrate on those 10-15-50 first pages.

Point.

What I actually mean is something along the line, 'Find what you think the simplest and start from there, then integrate the more complicated stuff as you learn'. Like, I momentarily switch to Inside Bar during NFP, and managed to get couple pips before closing shop.

so far, TMs is my favorite, since it plays in timeframe I prefer and quite simple. still not entirely sure about the use of stochastic, though, other than as general sense of direction. I mean, if I remember right it is used to confirm direction, but I'm still vague in how it is used to do so.
It is quite Zen, when you think about it.

It is really very simple. Yes, we wait for TDI's signal and confirm it looking at stochastic. But what is much more important - BigE recommended to look for the best setups available, and stochastic helps us to find them. For example: if TDI was above 68 and now is going down AND stochastic was above 80 and now is going down - that's an ideal setup. If TDI was below 32 and now is going up AND stochastic was below 20 and now is going up - that's an ideal setup.
