well without the momentum conditions I need on D1 & H1 it is a non starter for me however it would not surprise me at all if it hits Monthly R1. In terms of 'noise' there is an argument to say that looking at wave patterns on anything below a H1 is noise. What also tingled my senses about this 5m ABC was the TE to A distance was almost exactly the B to C (within 1 pip), coincidence some might say but....... it's amazing how many times these things play out.

I would be interested to know what 'noise' EU is receiving from other pairs, it would have to be some noise to affect the EU given that EU is by far the dominating pair in FX. genuinely interested though.

As I said its not a trade for me now as D1/H1 are OB for me and therefore it is not high probability enough however I would not be surprised at all for it to complete up to Monthly R1. 1.3044. my $0.02c

If it's on a Mac and not on Windoze through bootcamp or whatever, then yes I'm very interested.

1. Account leverage 1:888
2. Account balance EUR= 558 converted to USD= 725 for easier calculation.
3. His open positions were all EUR/USD.
4. He traded standard lot = 100,000 units.
5. Current exchange rate EUR/USD 1.3022
6. The value of traded 1 lot of E/U = 100,000 x 1.3022 = USD 132,022.
7. Margin requirement for 1 lot = 132,022 ÷ 888 = USD 148.68.
8. With USD 725 will only allow you to open 4.8 lots = 480,000 units.

Now look at his screen shot and total the lots considering all the profits for all position opened at April 04, 2013
In some cases he was adding to losing positions, where the hell the money was from

I tried a ton of different programs today because I'm ill and on meds (and I don't trade under the influence of stuff). Crossover never really worked well for me and installing EAs and extra indicators wasn't easy. Bootcamp is a pain, and Parallels a massive resource hog. Wine's ok, but a bit of a pain to set up.

By far the best option is Macwrapper: LINK

Simply launch this, chose your MT4 (or MT5) installation file and install it as if you were in Windows. Once it's all done you can rename the "Apple" logo of Macwrapper and place it on your desktop. Right-click it and chose "show package content". You'll see the same file structure as in Windows, so if you have extra EAs and indicators, just copy/paste them over. Once you're done, simply start the program and MT4 will start EXACTLY LIKE IN WINDOWS.

Takes 5min to set up and works like a charm. I mostly run MT4 on a VPS, but having it on your Mac is a little less sluggish.

Also loved the part where he admits that he's f*****...just to follow up with some mad ramblings about the market being f***** too. As if the market is a real being. So many people don't realise that the market is a borg at best.

Noticed when it was uploaded? 2009. One of the most volatile markets in decades. Why in the world would you leave naked futures open over the weekend? Maybe he should have taken some of that 25k and bought puts.

And yea he would break even eventually, four years later lol. I find it funny when people blame the markets for their own mistakes.

If you watch E/J, U/J, and other USD and EUR Crosses are all related and all movement in other pairs related to USD and EUR will create noise to E/U. It's been several hours I don't see real move for E/U but in tight range (IMHO).

So far I don't see E/U can go down with E/J and U/J at current levels.

He was just way overleveraged apparently trying to trade smaller timeframes with larger positions and then hoping the gap wouldn't be bad. I'm not too worried personally about gaps on larger time frame / lower sized trades, even a 300 point gap shouldn't be devastating if you're sizing correctly with a 1% original risk.

Does anybody here close out all their trades for the weekend and then re-pay the spread to reestablish them? Just curious, I haven't heard of many people doing that although that would be the obvious way to completely remove that risk. I just assume it evens out over time, some gaps are against you some go for you.

I keep my positions opened.

You win some, you lose some. Learning to trade is the easy part, it's risk management that's really key.
