That retail positioning is from myfxbook (go to outlook section).
It is the positions from all live accounts from there.

It was around $500ml in long positions that were build. or half 1 $bn.
per day there is around a daily volume of $115Bn in spot forex on reuters network alone for example.

So yeah, its insignficant. Don't expect banks to move billions on price to margin call those little longs.
Anyways I like the psychology of what happen. Okay that retail were buying the drop and they have little money, but I belive more people with more money did that too. You can sample a small group of people to have an idea what the majority is doing.
Just like eletions polls, they only sample a small size of the populatin of the country, still they got it right with very good precision.

Here is another thought. What do you think of Bitcoins? Right now, I am trading with maximum leverage, simply because I have pulled out almost all money from broker and hide them under matress . Yes, I wear tin-foil hat and am very paranoid. But really, maybe Bitcoins are solutoin to this whole crisis. There is simply not enough gold and silver, we cant go back. I am not good with computers, so I cant imagine if it can be somehow abused, but my IT friends insist that it is safe.
