Don't be so excited yet, it's just Asian session.

It would be nice if price was around the support before London and the Italian bond news than above at the resistance, then buy trade guys have a better potential it may go up for the 1.29xx goals. Otherwise in "long bias mode view guys mode lol" it may just be another 1.2840/1.2880 boring day again.

By the way, euro index hasn't tanked yet but steady with eur/jpy rally up and eur/aud waiting on buy setup to do it's going up too.
So maybe it's the Asian's buying USD and a small usd-index rise up.

I didn't say it on technical view.
That comment based on bullish absence everywhere. You cannot expect a sudden rise from 2700 that will take out all mess. There must have a spike up before any support can change the trend.

Yes I agree with forexings. no positive news at all and there isn't any economic data for next 3 days. what is worrying me is eur/jpy that is crawling higher

updated eur/jpy daily charts

121.75 is the 38.2% retracement from high of 125.52 to low of monday. so naturally it will struggle here a bit.

pending sell stop at 121.75

Why is eur/jpy worrying you?
I took 50pips twice yesterday on that and in-fact it's still good maybe for another 50+ pips.

Just look at whats the price on usd/jpy is about almost close to 95
Look at what is price on eur/usd is almost about 1.2800
Look at what is price on eur/jpy is almost 122

So if eur/jpy = eurusd + usd/jpy.

Deduct 500 pips of usd/jpy from eur/usd 1.2800 = eur/jpy should be around 123 at the moment.
So there is still room up there in euro-yen.

Unless after London starts and eur/usd goes down, then eur/jpy may stall or go down.

even i took almost 80 pips yesterday on that but it still worries me with its volatility and I still think downside may be targetted again. with this euro news everyday surely higher from here looks a bit scary

Notice usd/jpy is now just 500 pips close to usd/jpy = 100.00
So if eur/usd is still at 1.2800 rate.

eur/jpy = eur/usd + usd/jpy (which is 500 pips shy of 100 rate)
So we can say 1 EUR/JPY = 1.2800 - 500 = 123.00 rate.

That's why not only eur/jpy is moving up, but also gbp/jpy & aud/jpy.
Plus usd/jpy is moving up to add to the fuel.
