Part of the position was closed. Another part of the left and closed on a strong divergence of MACD. SORRY! I really do not speak in English.

IMHO. That's what I think a real diamond. Igor said many times in his book that Forex is a very precise thing.

As I stated earlier there are many different diamond formations, but all of them are the combination of the 2 main factors:
* Direction: Reversal or Continual
* Diagonal: Single or Dual Diagonal

The examples you draw are reversal ones with a single diagonal.
The one in my example is still can end up either as a reversal or continual, but it's a dual diagonal.

That's right, thanks a lot. I didn't know about the different types of diamonds, they are not in the book description. Good job!
Good day traders. EUR/JPY on the lost today. Will be hunting the intra-week range template (#18,4). Price action looks good and we also have a trend line with multiple touches that might be broken. Waiting of a better price - would love to see it at least at 124,855 to activate the buy order. SL will be hidden somewhere at ~124,40 but it depends on my entry price. Chart. After a struggle and a doze of adrenalin - managed to exit dry. There was something that I was afraid when entered the trade: intra-day range template (#18,4) in action against me. But as there was some time left for the situation to get onto my side (new daily high would invalidate the ID template) I did risk and went in. No new day's high after I was in was the first sign to be more careful. But when a new daily low was made it took my optimism, for my targets to be reached, away for good. 50 pips to charity (max floating profit with this order). Gladly I got a chance to get out. Actually I even made couple pips with that bounce back. LOL. Hate situations like that as you simply don't have any control of what is going on. I usually come to terms with the idea that my account has already got a loss - easier to watch the screen. This time I was lucky.

Yeah it looks like Igrok's agenda has changed in the last couple of years. Not sure about the 2nd book, looking like will never see the daylight unfortunately. No worries though, the 1st book is "the book".

As for trading, I'm currently long USDCHF 1 part booked profit and 2 parts keeping, entered yesterday using the range template after the MMOTD changed to UP. On the intraday charts it may look like it was countertrend but there were enough reasons to speculate the bull side if one was aware of the bigger timeferame outlook:
* April 16, big bearish daily candle breaking the previous days range and closing down => the day closes with a bearish sentiment, most expecting continuation. What many missed is that it closed into a good support level BUT didn't find acceptance below it
* April 17, asian starts moving up slowly, after london open ID MM changes to down and the intraday outlook changes to bearish again. Soon the previous lows are taken out "as expected"
* But here is the interesting part, we know that most are expecting bearish continuation after the big red candle. The break of the big red candle lows activated a bunch of sell orders. Then all of a sudden the price returned into the range and ID MM is changed. At this point the earily london sellers are trapped, the breakout sellers are trapped and we have the ingredients for a good move up.
* The entry trigger is the ID MM change when we had a small pullback, the goold old 18.4
