i think that most trader doesn't gain because they research a strategy, they try this strategy, and then when they understood the strategy go live,
in this moment, most trader, follow the strategy rules, but overtrade, trying to catch all the signal the strategy gives them...
they "over analysis",

so one thing i was thinking to avoid over analysis is: more system or strategy all together, i take some signal from one system and some from other..

my target will be take 4 signal a day,

every signal with 5 net pips--------- 5 x 4 = 20 ------ with a MM of 1:100 (1 pips = 1%) it is our 20% per day...

doesn't matter if the signal was very good, and would have taken me 35 pips....

because, if you look at your trading history, 1 trade at a time, you will find that every trade would have gained 5 pips..



and now with a little knowledge of hedging, it will be possible limitate the "losses" at, let's say, 30 pips...

at this point, with 30 negative pips floating, i could "relax" myself and try to catch some pips, using my 70 pips stop...

or dividing my equity per 100 and restart, slowly i will recover my "locked loss" and could close it..

i cancelled this tpl, but take one of mine and remove what you do not need,

Okay, then I have something up my sleeves for like minded traders to test - just my alternate M1 system to what DNA & Favorite trade. Take your time to test drive it on demo account, and we'll see what happens at the end of March if further improve is required, and if necessary we may open a new thread so improvements can be updated on the first page. You can trust that no negativity will be tolerated on the thread otherwise such people will be removed and their posting(s) deleted ASAP.

So here we go:

1. This is not for newbies, and neither is it for everybody
2. This is for experienced fulltime traders, that are already versatile in the dangerous art of scalping. Of course, others can learn too but take your time to practice first on demo account.
3. No CT trades since we are trading the M1 TF, where we have plenty of setups and pullbacks
4. No trading without SL
5. SL will be 5 - 20 and anything above that is unnecessary risk. Preservation of capital is very important, so that we keep riding on the back of the tiger for food.
6. Trading the M1 TF affords us the opportunity to use smaller SL, and not take unnecessary risk

Objective:
Daily Target/Goal
(per Standard lot/unit)
25 pips per day = 125 pips per week
125 pips per week = 500 pips per month
500 pips per month = 6,000 pips per year

One Standard Lot = $8.00 - $12.50 per pip, depending on which pair you trade.

25 pips per day = $200 - $312.50 per day
125 pips per week = $1,000 - $1,562.50 per week
500 pips per month = $4,000 - $6,250 per month
6,000 pips per year = $48,000 - $75,000 per year

Indicators:

1. 200 EMA of high and low
2. 12 EMA of close
3. LCSM
4. 3 Stochastic Lines - 12, 21 & 72
5. Genesis Matrix (I use the M5 TF)

Setup

1. Long above 200EMA Channel
2. Short below 200EMA Channel

Entries
Long

1. We only go long after PA has established itself above the 200MA. Therefore we don't take the first cross, but wait for re-test or pullback to confirm 200MA as support
2. Enter few pips after the candle closing above the 12MA
3. Place stop few pips below the trigger candle or the last swing, as long as risk is not more than 20 pips

Short

1. We only go short after PA has established itself below the 200MA. Therefore we don't take the first cross, but wait for re-test or pullback to confirm 200MA as resistance
2. Enter few pips after the candle closing below the 12MA
3. Place stop few pips above the trigger candle or the last swing, as long as risk is not more than 20 pips

Take Profit Level

1. Move SL to BE (to cover spread + commission) with 7+ pips in favour of trade. (Mine is less than 2 pips to cover this cost)
2. Trail stop one channel below/above the channels created by the RN or PPT or S/R
3. Take profit within the channels created by the RN or PPT or S/R

Special Note About the Stochastic

1. Any time you find all the lines of the stochastic bound together as one and turning from an extreme level, and coinciding with our setup, then you have a potentially viable trade coming
2. Slingshot - a slingshot is formed when the 72MA Green line remains at the extreme level while either or both of the other 2 lines pullback to the opposite end. This is hinting of possible trend continuation, and if the sling snaps and the prior high or low is not taken out, then that is a failure hinting of possible reversal.

Use the other indicators as additional filters

We are looking for specific setup, and if it is not there, no trade. If it is there, we trade it with excellence.

As I said above, this system is not for everybody and this is why I am not providing any template. Let every trader build his system from the description above. Links to all these indicators have been provided in my previous posts.

I have less than 21 hours for the editing option on this page to expire. So I just thought of adding my M5 trading system to the M1, so that when both are aligned, we have a potential HPT and therefore more confidence in the setup. Attached is a MTF MA, and the settings should be as follows for both the 12 & 72 MAs and I will use the Red & Green colors, and change the M1 12MA to DarkOrchid:

TimeFrame: 5
MAPeriod: 72
ma_shift: 0
ma_method: 1 (EMA)
applied_price: 3 (low)

TimeFrame: 5
MAPeriod: 12

ma_method: 1 (EMA)

Just my 5 cents: I recently came across a very intriguing fact: major banks make up to 30-40% of their net profits in currency operations (FX trading). You won't dispute the fact (hopefully) that people who trade currencies in the major banks' FX desks are pros. Here is from the horse's mouth (one of such highly pro traders): you just through a large chunk of money in the market to get it moving in a direction that you have acted in, you get your 2-3 pips and you close, you are gone. Momentum may persist for some time after that. That's a normal quiet mode of operation. Of course, there are occasions that are different - when you need to buy/sell a really large amount (say $50-100 mils), then you do it in steps not to make a big splash, etc.

So, when you say pros - clarify who you have in mind - Buffet, DiNapoli, Elder? Or people whose names we do not know but who make millions and millions for their banks (and 6-7 figues incomes for themselves) trading in banks, all sorts of funds, ets.

We retail traders of course are small fish, but a method geared to catching such a momentum and make just a few pips has a right to exist. Particularly since there is no way of knowing where the market will move in one hour, 15 mins, 5 mins (should one of such pros want to throw 10-20-50 etc. mils in the market).

The regular Stochastic does not have that option, so you just need to change the KPeriod but if you are using the Stochastic oscillator, then it is exponential of low/high, then under color, you will have the signal line as none

Would have loved to but I want people to participate and DIY, because this way, you can learn more about the components (indicators) that make up the system and what each does thereby becoming master of it. I believe post 390 on page 26 details where to find the indicators except that I use the regular stochastic. Change the KPeriod to 12 and drag another into the same window and change the KPeriod again to 21 and drag another for the 72. Therefore the Red is 12-3-3; the White is 21-3-3 and the Green is 72-3-3.

its not a matter of believe or not believing. You have your proven method and I respect that and not here to be a clown. I see you having both selling and buying EUR/JPY that's why i ask, to clarify a bit. And about your real account. even since that say 200+ dollars, have you made enough to be able to withdraw for paying your living expenses (since that day)? This is a genuine question, and not one to mock your method or something. That is because your real account shows dollars in the hundreds, so I am not sure if you have already taken them out to pay your expenses or not.

Please see update to the system introduced from post 814, and download the MTF MA, as I have combined the M1 & M5 systems for HPTs and below is a possible Aussie trade example with just a 6 pips SL.
