DislikedI recently shredded my Conservative Party membership card after 38 years of continuous membership. My principal reason was that I am sick and tired of hearing Cameron, Osborne and others making out that any one who engages in perfectly legal means of avoiding tax - usually in consultation with highly professional accountants are "Immoral".
If the politicians don't like people avoiding tax, they should close the loopholes and not castigate those of us who use them. I for one, would not begrudge paying my taxes were it not for the fact that the...Ignored

DislikedI totally agree, besides they are trying to get corporations in my band to pay 60% tax. And of course there is a way to only end up paying between 18% and 26% which is far more acceptable. Perfectly legal too - you pay yourself a small salary then pay out the profits as dividends. I mean even on the tax form guide they give this example "basic salary: £12,000 dividends payout: £55,000". So then why should we feel obliged to pay the full 60% when there's a tax-efficient legal way to run small companies?!Ignored
DislikedThere are many examples of indecent, foul, and shameful actions that are technically legal, tax evasion being one of them.
Besides, as a corporation or institutional investor you are a part of the legal problem, as you literally dictate the wording of the legislation through lobbying politicians that depend on you.
Plus, those corporations and institutional investors ruthlessly exploit resources of the governments (from diplomatic to military) that help push their corporate interests across the globe. They pay almost nothing in return in taxes.
