My current medium term trading plan for this pair, although I am currently short from 1.2995 but with no real conviction.

On the weekly chart, price has hit the LTL of the rising trend channel and has failed to penetrate the weekly support level and showed little sign of a bounce as yet.


This is roughly the same levels it was at during the same time period in 2012, when it finally broke a falling triangle formation in early May and went down to the 1.2041 low in July of that year.


On the daily chart, we had a strong bull candle on Thursday of last week and I thought it might break upwards, but bears reacted strongly next day after nfp.


It is now in the doldrums, shows little sign of direction and I am looking for decisive break below support at 1.2950 for shorts, or above 1.3100 for longs.

Well yeah, the moves are generally stronger in pips terms...but I still think you shouldn't just arbitrarily set a stop loss. Base it on something (technical/fundamental/whatever). The more you automate this the less likely "personal feelings" come into play...therefore decreasing the amount of stress you have. Of course you should back (and forward) test whatever stop loss method you use on a DEMO ACCOUNT first before using it on a live account. Would be foolish to test stuff while risking real money.

I tend to back test strategies for at least 2k candles and then also forward test it for a couple of weeks...or at least enough time to test it under various market conditions (trending vs ranging). Since I started doing that losses hardly ever bother me.

been away for a while..had to work work work....but shorting it today..holding shorts from 3050, 3025, and 3000 --- and can't believe that it's not going down...seem's like we'll have to wait USD news to see a somewhat more decisive movement

Morning Everybody...

This is my PLAN form this morning
I want to see things moving on chart...
NEWS for Euro are bad, but technically we should see a nice bounce on the charts.
We haven't done it for nearly ten days, every bounce is quickly killed by bears, there I assume we should go lower and find better price correcting.

I am really tired trading this month, so I might be damn wrong
What you think guys?

no.

because i look long term charts (monthly and weekly) i should watch trigger charts confirmations to push order (daily-4h-1h charts).

when i place order without confirmaton to tighten to SL level, i lose money.

my plan e-u go north from 2887(maybe not touch 1.2887) to 1.4000 because of this u-j go south 96.70 to 87.00 level and so e-j 127,70 to 111.00 level.

this plan was created from long term charts. i can be misleading. but it is worth to follow actions.
