I never blew an account (yet) because I analyzed risk the same way I do it for my real estate day job...but one thing I learned early at uni (and by looking at hundreds of hotel projects) is that GREED is the enemy of a good investor. It might go ok today, maybe tomorrow too...but eventually greed will bite your head off.
And example of this is hotel developers using 90%+ LTVs...not realizing that as soon as the market has a hick-up they're broke. The same applies to forex. If a 37pip gain means you win 25%, it also means you'll lose 25% when...

It's much more precise trading nowadays than like few years ago. For me good entry is that i wont take hit more than 0 - 1 pip + spread and nowadays such entries do not occur very often.
They think they are smarter than I am.
