I already have a demo account for genesis, since my broker doesn't support metatrader which sucks, actually, only using a laptop to open/close positions which I decide to do by looking at my big screen with the genesis charts setup on mt4...

On a more related topic, I'm kind of worried about this whole EU thing, I mean it just seems way too good to be true m5-h1 stoch are OB (ofc not taking it as a signal but as a "reversal might happen at any moment" warning), theres a BRN, a DP... just seems too easy I'm just going to patiently wait until something happens, trying to plan eventual short scenarios but also minding long ones as well...

Well it would be easy to make a case for longs or shorts on EU......best just to wait and see which way this thing goes. It might just mess about until NFP....no one knows

This is probably going to turn around and bite me on the ass, but I noticed a resistance had been holding, so I decided to give it a go... Entered based on the genesis signal because everything seemed to align, will be mindful of news. TP is at S1, SL is above DP (my DP.) Hopefully market open momentum would make it go my way and not just range all day around this area

Thank you. GU follows, seems high probability enough since I'm getting short signals on two highly correlated pairs, am below a resistance cluster etc.

My take on BRNs and DPs when momentum is slow is that they are magnetic to PA. I will wait now for better PA and stochs moving from some direction and in different timeframes too rather than risk money on maybe trades. Getting my account to grow needs most of my "good idea" trades to go to the dustbin!!!

Oh sorry....I didn't see your post. I'm going to keep the test going until the end of next week then it will be 4 weeks. So far it seems to be a 'swings and roundabouts' thing......the bad is that some of the trades are a little bit late in entry on M15 compared to M5. The good side of the ledger is that it's easier to stay in a trade and ride out the small pullbacks, that on an M5 might cause the user to exit prematurely. Of course some of the SL's are bigger on the M15, but the R:R is easier to see in advance.

I think in the end the total pips gained/lost on M15 will be comparable to M5, but M15 is certainly easier from a trade management point of view. I'll spend some time next weekend and see if I can do a proper comparison once the 4 weeks are up.

My trade's in profit, got m15 arrows, GU dropping as well (kinda regret i didnt take a short there too) and genesis painting red signals. Looks good to me for now... im looking at DP but being aware of 2965, as that's the previous swing low on h1.

hnng I hate the pre-london market scares the heck out of me and makes me feel like I'm gambling... I'm struggling to make myself stay in the trade right now, being as noob as I am.

Truly wonderful I just got long signals everywhere thats definitely not the thing that helps right now

on the bright side no resistance is yet broken and if it holds here, right now, that would be the first strong momentum driven retest this morning... fingers crossed :o

Umm sorry for asking this, but would one of you mind explaining to me what drove EU to rally like this?

I think I misinterpreted the h1 spinning tops and dojis and disregarded the arrow signal that I got on both h1 and m5, which were the cause of me losing more than I should have, had I cut my losses short as soon as the first line of resistance was broken (which would have been ~7 pips spread included) instead of it being 15... But what I don't understand is what made EU rally? Was it simply sentiment + momentum from london, or is there anything else that I have missed?

It could have been any number of things.....if I had a dollar for every time I have seen that happen I wouldn't need to trade!!!

I don't care about spinning tops and dojis and other nonsense on these low timeframes....that's why the system uses HA candles. Those Japanese candles and formations etc are more suited to much larger charts.....and.....again.....those things instil a bias in you, especially on these small timeframes.

Certainly, momentum comes from London opening. It took me a while to just follow Genesis rules. I didn't like dropping everything I knew! Now I simply follow Genesis but slowly can apply knowledge learned before in subtle ways. I am no fundamentalist so what moved it I don't know....
