I think too many news.

I am waiting for NY open.

In 2013 All mondays the ny stock is -ive and all Fridays its +ive.

Going to bed to be fresh for the NY.

I have found the forum very helpful tonight....especially the way Kelly and Marty have been moaning on about the sad state of ye ole England.......poor sods, so I put a sell on the GBP....my best trade for a long time.......Thanks you two!!!!

After such a drop on GU and Genesis who gave a signal just before the news it made me thought of how Genesis often give good signals 5 to 10 mins before the actual release.

In hindsight I regret not taking this, but could I share my reasons for not taking it with you, so that I can kinda hear your take on the subject?

I was really wondering whether I should short because on eu, I had a setup, DP holding, price staying below it and then I got all the signals (matrix, stoch, arrow, EMA...). But I then checked the other pairs, which are supposed to be highly correlated and I saw nothing on GU (flat before news), AU and EJ were above daily pivot and UC was kinda in no-man's land to me (like in the middle of the DP and the DR1)... Also all of these pairs seemed to be in a very flat range on h1/m30 and so I decided not to take any actions.

I'm fairly new to pair correlations and how they work, I've simply read about them on babypips and just spent some few weeks watching them, so I'm not using them correctly I'm sure...

What happened with GU?
I take 80p. on it.

Do I understand correctly that if we have an open trade and this trade is in B/E, we are ignore all other signal?

It's always tempting, especially with news like that!! I didn't jump in either, but I don't like GU too much anyway! There was an entry on GJ that I almost took though, but it was right on top of the news, so I made a coffee instead

I must say I don't know much about co-relations so I can't comment . If I see a pair meeting the right criteria I tend to just roll with it.

There's a signal lining up on EU M5, but it is a counter-trend signal and I'm still too newb to determine whether it's a risk worth taking... So I guess I'll wait and see.

It's not a risk I'd be willing to take after that flurry of news since Frankie opened. NY might bring another opportunity but until then I'd have to think long and hard before going against such a strong move.....

A signal never did come anyway.

I was so happy at first, when I saw rejection of DS1 and that I could be entering anytime soon, but then I checked h1's steep downtrend and thought to myself "sh*t, now that's a trade I would DEFINITELY be ashamed of if I posted it ". Your advice is keeping me out of SO MANY bad trades, it's unbelievable... I'm forever grateful to you and the team and all the active people helping noobs in this thread...
