Italian situation after 2013 elections.

After the recent elections the situation is more complex than expected because today in the Parliament there are 4 parties which represent 90% of population and they don't/can't find an agreement to form a Goverment with a majority .... this could mean UNGOVERNABILITY.

Obiously this could be a good scenario for eurozone and speculation could play an important role.

I don't in depth about the details but one of the most likely scenario could be a "a broad-based government" with the purpose to solve some umportant issues. The real issue is the "puppies" we have in the Parliament.

It is like Trading : Everything can happen !

New elections would be the WORST possible scenario ... honestly I don't think, but once again : everything can happen!

Ahh I understand....thank you. So in essence the "a broad-based government" might give it their best shot, but if there is disagreement over a major issue (like austerity) and an agreement is impossible, then there will have to be an new election. Is that right?

LOL......a tricky situation for sure. With our election system we too always end up with a coalition, and it has only failed once as far as I know, and that resulted in a new election. But I know that the parties in your country are quite opposit in many areas and I don't see them lasting together too long.

In a way, I'm happy that this has happened because it sends a message from the people on the street, to the bureaucrats that are living on a different planet, that their draconian policies are unacceptable. Greece tried to send the same message but they were not strong enough.

I'd better go and polish my Ducati tomorrow!!

Well, I'm short on GU tp @ DP, SL around 1.5222~ it's protected by a psycho resistance, DR1.. now let's see how I handle myself throughout this trade hard part starts here

*edit* : patience paying off so far, SL at b/e free trade now...

Actually Italian President has to speak with the leaders of the parties, if there would not be the possibility of agreement, it's possible the new govern will be technical, and assigned to an external, as happened last year with Monti. Giuliano Amato is one of the name, anyway a temporary solution will be found but it is quite impossible that we will be back soon to the election before a new law regarding the election. Another, but quite far from reality, is a coming back of Mr Renzi at the leadership of the Democratic, this will open the door to Mr Berlusconi that has ideas quite similar to him, and in this way a long and stable govern could be possible, but this is just a dream.

I don't trust him too. But he represent a 29% of the electors and we must respect their ideas. Anyway I think that Renzi is the man of the future and till the moment the Democratic will not support him as a leader, this country will not be in the condition to find its way. Monti has done a lot, but he has missed to reduce benefits to the politicians and put a lot of pressure upon the lower classes, this is why he become unpopular and lost the election

GU might want to attack R1 again. It's been in an uptrend from FO yesterday, and still making higher highs.

Umm no i was targetting the DP but when I was looking at the h1 chart I noticed price was struggling at this point, which happened to be where priced had closed before the gap earlier this week. So I drew the horizontal line over there.

While typing this I can see my target almost being touched exited prematurely once again, going to put an automated trailing stop and sit on my hands next time...
