End Of QE?

The minutes or the fed meeting revealed a discussion to move away from linking the continuation of QE to the improvement of employment figures. In short QE could finish a lot earlier than than thought. If no extra clarification is given to negate this statement or to water it down the matket is qualified to start to price it in. This will mean strength for the $ and weakness for almost all the other asset classes like commodities, stocks and bonds.

Good post, I think the USD strength is well underway now.......imho the Major Commodities are weak across the board

Gold - Down
PA - Down
PL - Down
Oil - Down
CAD - Down
AUD - Down

Could see some hefty moves over the next while. COT Fundamentals support this view also

Yes M.M very wild indeed.
These elections are spooking the markets. Berlusconi, i believe will destabilise the euro. Market has to factor this in so the dump.

Add to that the fact that Bernanke might take away the dosh earlier than expected

Also add to the fact that the stock market is at levels with all these problems

We have a recipe for a large scale dump of stocks commodities and dollar strength

However I think Bernanke is speaking later today. He will try to inject some positivity into the markets

I have been tracking the EurAud looking for a good place to but but the price action drove me back to the drawing board

I assume you meant buy.....Yeah its a funny one, for me I am bearish both currencies.....but maybe the EUR more than the AUD in this pair.
I got a daily technical sell signal last night. I zoomed out and had a look at the monthly then the weekly and then the daily signal in context. I see two things here:

1) On the monthly chart Bar1 is about to close (2 days) and that is a bearish looking pattern to me. A false break in a fierce downtrend (if you zoom further out)
2) On the Daily a breakdown of Bar2 will break a significant trendline (four touches).

I'm going to do a little swing trade here, selling a break of the Bar2 low, with an intraday stop.

Hi MPB

Yes I did want to buy this pair looking for 1.4000 area because of the inverse H&S observable on the weekly chart. Price confirmed the structure and I was waiting for a retest of the 'neckline'. But price never showed strength on the retest and the retest got deeper and deeper till it now looks like an outright sell right now. Suddenly the euro lost its mojo. All support zones kept falling along the way - 13000 2950 2800 etc. So for me its back to the drawing board...
