Italian Senate Projections

1. Berlusconi 121 seats
2. Bersani 96 seats
3. Grilli 50 seats
4 Monti 19 seats

Overall numbers pur Berlusconi and Bersani tied at 30.7% each

If Berlusconi takes control of the senate, it's not good for the Euro.

Pip Trapper...This is great info that you post. I took a quick profit in my earlier long EurUSD position.....and have decided to wait a bit before entering another long position..until we get more data on the Italian Elections. Will read that link now from Zero Hedge that you posted.

La Stampa reports that Rai has given its first projection for the Chamber of Deputies, and it shows the leftwing coalition just marginally ahead. Here are the figures:
Chamber of Deputies:
Centre-left coalition (Bersani): 29.1%
Centre-right coalition (Berlusconi): 28.6%
Five Star Movement (Grillo): 26.3%

The USDX is on a rip roaring tear. I wouldn't step out in front of that train. Next stop is 161.8% around 83.00 area and it's probably a one way ticket.

By the way. I am significantly short the Euro from 1.3390 and 1.3270 YeeHaw

This means a hung parliament... Not good for the Euro at all.

Italy lower house projection points to 3-way tie

FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) -- Italy's parliamentary election was on track Monday to produce a nearly three-way tie in the Chamber of Deputies between Pier Luigi Bersani's center-left alliance, former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's center-right alliance and Beppe Grillo's 5-Star Movement, according to an initial projection by broadcaster RAI as reported by La Stampa. RAI estimated Bersani's alliance would win 29.1% of the seats in the lower house, while Berlusconi's alliance would take 28.6% and the 5-Star movement was on track for 26.3%. Meanwhile, projections indicate a neck-and-neck race between Bersani's bloc and Berlusconi's alliance in the Senate.

Of course they are. They are under Merkel's command and Merkel does not accept failure.... Just like Ireland and Greece, when a non-eurozone friendly government gets elected, she orders them back to the polls.

An Irish example is the 28th amendment to the constitution on the Treaty of Lisbon. Google it and you'll see.

Honestly, I don't think a non-eurozone friendly government has been elected.
The only one to call for a Euro referendum was Grillo with 5 Stars Movement, and he only got 25%.

Any government that resists or opposes any economic directive (such as economic reforms or austerity) issued by Brussels, is considered non-eurozone friendly... even if they wish to remain in the Eurozone.
