Maybe. "Velocity" is kind of misleading, though. When price is rocketing off someplace usually there's a lack of liquidity fueling that, not so much a bulldozer of orders. In fact much of what I've read indicates that this rising type of movement when price is trying to find a new balance is fueled mostly by retail traders (after the initial boost by smart money) who want to get in on the move and operate on greed. Smart money likely waits at clusters of limit orders to buy or sell...this provides a method of limiting risk as well as raising the probabilities of success. If you identify the likely areas of reversal you'll lose often but when you win you can ride it to the opposite likely turning point for a profit that does well in outweighing the many losses you had before.

added the blue to 3500.3.. we had a valid cross on the 4h. above the um atm.. this one hour and the next close may indicate retrace. i would not expect much with the 4h close above the um.. caught between the gold and blue mids.
