If anybody is gonna pull the plug on them it's gonna be the companies operating there and they're only interested in their bottom line. The company making apple crap is Taiwanese btw. At some point what matters is not only cheap labor but access to the local market and skilled labor too. If not, Romania/Bulgaria should have got a lot more investments than they did instead of everything going to the countries more developed and crucially closer to the western markets.

And besides those issues: regulations, compliance, potential litigation, labor laws, polution laws, current and expected levels of taxation all tend to weigh against the west. After all the west exported large sections of its tax base east but somehow neglected to cut spending. The US is instead doing the opposite: increasing social/military spending and deficits(future tax hikes ? hyperinflation ?). With that kind of instability in the west I don't think the asian countries have a lot to worry about (except Japan which is a basket case).

About bloody time too..... logic begins to prevail - although I still think there are some die hard bulls betting their bollocks on this just being a little correction before we carry on to 1.58+...... I think north of 1.34-35 is going to be a wasteland for a long time from here on.
