entire month retail traders were short despite of uptrend.In some cases even 70% and still serious bull trend.
move the red bar to see it.
This graph should change how one sees the markets.
I don't base my trading what Oanda retail traders do but I do take extra caution when they are dominate short position.
Your broker is betting against you....that is how business operates in most cases.

7% however consider the fact that retail traders do add profits to brokers and banks since 95% lose.
7% maybe not huge but when dealing in 4-8 trillion market 7% is significant.

This is just what pro traders think
Go with order flow and with Market makers.Fact is we don't know before London where Order FLOW is going hence to place a short position now is pure gambling.
It maybe correct position since 50% chance of being right but we must not think like a gambler.That is sure way to become 95% crowd.

I want to share an indicator that is real helpful.Every-time price makes a new HH HL LL LH etc it sets an alarm and it filters the tops and bottoms and mid points.This is cool because you could do other things in the house and once hearing the alarm you can check.
It helps me see harmonic patterns better.

Take hope from your vocabulary out and replace with order flow and probabilities.We are still in uptrend so PA going up has greater probability.

id rather gamble as you call it, with a small pip risk, then a larger one while waiting for flow. but that just me.. different strokes. the truth is, we are all gambling. we call it trading to make it sound respectable.

I am experimenting with 5min chart.My set up is simple. 20EMA, MACD default.Price above 20EMA and histogram crossing up from zero buy.Opposite for short.1h 4h as a guide.
So far I have no valid trade.

i trade pure pa.. ej is now below 125.25.. but w/o a close. eu 3408 needs a close. for a drop.. 9m is a 4h close.
