Good reaction on a very good PMI from Canada, session close below 9960 would help us a bit here,
Looney is breaking up against dollar, Oil will go up, the euro will go up, SP in sinc with DAX both hiting their res, even pound got a better session today,
I think if Mario will light the fuse we will see 1,3820 next

As for oil, definitely, the main oil analysts last October were saying that the oil companies would want to keep it at an average above $100 for 2013 so far I have seen nothing to discount that analysis. The US shale stuff had a small impact but soon forgotten, middle east tensions not helping, reduced uk production, cancellation of the artic projects, etc. etc.
I am suprised that we are not above 100$ already with BOJ and six months of devaluation of petro dollar.

Nightmare morning at work with various issues, did manage to get the bounces up in eu & ej this morning. S/L's in tight & waiting for ECB later, hopefully I can break off work for a bit to trade it

Hedge hedge hedge..... (probably because of Carney) big one at 63 on eurusd, gives 25-30 swings.

Once it closes there will be a nice burst, likely upside.

Last post today, gotta pay attention.

PS. F@ked up markets nowadays right?

Christ no, I don't have a Bloomberg terminal - just the standard feed onto my PC. If it was there then I missed it . . . and paid for it.

Be wary of -

1st and last 15% of any candle generally is wicks & legs aka noise aka volatility, any timeframe

Be extra wary when data releases coinsides with these times, dosnt matter what timeframe, 5mim or monthly, but the higher the time frame the more dangerous

Be extra extra wary when these period co inside with important say monthly levels aswell eg yearly mids, 1st and 3rd 1/4.s or March October re March is Close of financial / tax year October is annual reconciliation period, Govt Budget releases etc etc
Then there are the obvious variable releases, Merkel, Mario, Bennie, etc, and lastly the unknown releases aka interventions

So for today is a GBP Data release day, plus blabbermouth politicians, Cable has taken the bash for last 2 months and was sitting at a confluence of supports including weekly and monthly, after such a nice little bear run with little sign of bull, there is a good chance of a bounce which adds strengthto the support, and for bears to smash through they need something special, now, the green data incidently provided a very nice wee long trade, could also be seen as a bearish rally, one of gators favourite recoil and then the big dump, wish he was here he sees them crtstal clear,

anyway, I took the long with green data have partialed at falling tl Daiy and re entered another short now I will wait the next data releases, any hint of read, will be an exciting night, yen and usd are flat, so will be dictated by each pairs partner strength or weakness,

Soorry so many words, but be careful for next couple hours, I am waiting for dust to settled tonights move has been building for a long time and might be interesting

We are in inflationary scenario atm, keeping price down is not in the best interest of OPEC.

Agreed. The US also has virtually no oil at less than $85 a barrel, but tons at $105 and above.

Morning all,

Haven't posted here for a while but still beavering away with this pair, and the other female pair of assets posted earlier this morning has spurred me into action.

All a bit choppy at the moment following the move up this morning, but on sidelines now until NY to see if there is a fresh assault on 85 or whether 53 is breached for a move down to 40.
