Been trading this system for a week now and account is up 5% so far. This system is a perfect example of how important keeping it simple is! Right now i'm manually backtesting this system in regards to daily charts and results are looking good!

Just wanted to jump to say that this system is serving me perfectly for last month, since my last posts i have started using this system for scalping on m1 and m5 charts and i am up 200% in three days. Thanks again to great man who has packed this system together and all others who provided more informations on this thread. Basically for scalping the same rules apply as for normal use if this system except one should use resistance and support a lot with backing of 50sma.

Hi Janpec.
Good job on the scalp trading and thanks for the update. I found that the spread and slippage on the small timeframes eats up most, or all of any gains, so I gave up on that idea.
Do you have any tips on how you make it work for you?

I would love to explain in details but due to respect of system creator who said we shouldnt derail topic from long term trading i really wouldnt like to do it. Also side thing is that i am using beside system a few my own indicators which are not included or used in system at all. But base is still heavily relying on TDI.
If you need explanation on how i scalp with it or even better if you want to see me live trading just pop up on babypips.com chat i am there most of time under the same nick name.

found this way of trading very simple and easy as a newbie,
can anyone tell me - is there a way of creating the TDI red and green lines using the options of moving averages or any other of the simple indicators that are on the ipad MT4 ?
it would be nice to be able to trade this method whilst mobile,
i tried remote to my pc but can really make out the charts very well...

Hi Nelly,

You can try create the TDI using the standard RSI indicator.
Basically, what you do is to use the RSI data in the indicator window and apply a moving average to the RSI data and that will be the TDI PL (The Green line)

The second TDI TSL line (Redline) is simply an 7EMA apply to the RSi data.

Refer to the attachment which explains how this can be done.

Hope this will work in your iPad.

You are right, just the blue SMA should have period 2, then you will get identical indicator as TDI. For yellow he have to use period 34.
And use simple MA insteed EMA.

I have build TDI this way on all my charts. Because TDI indicator is pretty slow on my comp, altough I got i5 3,3ghz processor - when I change a timeframe I had alwais wait like half a second, which was really uncomfortable for me. Now my Metatrader is lightning fast.

yes, you are correct to set the TDI PL to use 2MA instead.

Another way is to simulate the TDI PL and TSl using moving average on the chart itself.
The closest I get is to use 2 and 5 simple MA on Typical Price.

That's great thank,

It works a treat, the only thing missing now is the Heiken Ashi candles, but there is no option on iPad mt4'
So I am going to test with normal candles and then line , see how I get on,

Anyone making profit past few days? The pairs ive been trading are ranging - a couple of losses and tough making the little profit i made. Good thing its demo and i didnt check the news, anybody experiencing the same thing?

which currency pairs did you trade? and which timeframe did you trade?

Please post your chart showing your trading timeframe and entry and exits.

Quite a few losses and all of them loooked like perfect setups like this one but this was the most profound. The setup looked good for a buy so i went long on the red line. didnt set any stoploss nor take profit since i would be watching and after waiting for a real long time in a slowly but ever-increasing draw down it shot-up (ie down ) to about -103 pips I hurriedly exited at about -98pips. The other losers were on audcad, audusd usdchf. I trade the 4h charts. From peeping into the 1h charts It seemed their trends were reversing I heeded the warning and exited and it was a good thing I did but why so on good setups?

Also id like to ask apart from the most recent swing low / high ; what size of stop loss would you reccomend for this strategy on 4h charts.

Dont mean to defend my losses but was already losing in good setups for about two days now. I guess shd stay out when the market seems slow but was that experienced by everyone or was it just me.

Accepting losses is part of this trading as a business.
But when you do not understand market dynamics and how to trade this Trading Made Simple system in different market type, you will suffer more losses.
I do not know how long you have been trading spot forex and how much of this thread you have read, but reading your posts does tell something about you being a relative new forex trader.
