Stoch position
5ema state
Matrix
News
ATR
Arrows
Pivots
Round numbers etc etc

There is all the info in the thread, just make a list of things that you need to check to stop you entering a trade and then realising that you didn't see the big round number lurking 5 pips away!!

I didn't take it either....the HPT trade was earlier in the day......as it was for many pairs today. But I was busy so I didn't get a chance to enter any of them

EJ refuses to go down, managed a few small trades, but after yesterday, I'm not complaining

my emotions took over a while ago, I know I should ignore my feelings but being a huge skeptic of this jpy deprecation / eur rally it seems I'm just weak and can't for now. Although i do learn overtime so have stayed out of the market instead going against the trend

That's very honest of you to admit that.

I agree the concept of Euro strength, is conceptually difficult to get your head around, except the fact that currencies are a zero sum game.

So comparatively, if ECB are not undertaking conventional QE, and US and Japan are going full guns blazing, comparatively that makes the Euro strong. QE is the "elephant in the room" at the moment - thats why GBP is weak - QE and a weak economy.

What Japan is threatening to do, is a multi-decade game-changer - so after decades of strength, it is now being a lot weaker, QE/trade deficits/weak economy - strength - what strength ?? The trade deficit, has real consequences on demand for Yen.

As I stated yesterday, once the strong Euro wreaks havoc on the EU economies, watch the Euro capitulate, but until then whatever logic tells you, just follow your charts.

Another example is the number of times Genesis will give a correct signal just prior to or on major news release, that is usually because the buying/selling pressures by big banks taking positions sends us signals.

So during trading hours, I switch off my economic mind, and switch on my traders mind - that is absolutely critical. I even "talk" to my "trading persona", going over and over my signals ticking them off prior to a potential setup.

My wife is constantly joking with me for talking to myself (she tells me I am mad!! - maybe I am ??), I ignore everything else, just trading signals, over and over again. That is all that matters.

We are technical traders (especially on these timeframes), not fundamental traders - so why consider fundamentals during trading ??

Thanks, I agree on everything you said, both on the how to and the economic part. If I start to think about it I get to the same conclusion I will slowly scale myself back in when I have the ability to do intra-day trades. At the moment I should hold positions overnight which I feel not being capable of right now.

Truth is that I've made a few mistakes lately which led to serious decline on my account. Not game over yet luckily and it's a micro account so it won't have an impact on my life. However my ego is bleeding hard looking back at my trades as it clearly shows that I've been so silly. Doing beginner mistakes over and over again which I do recognize and know to my back.

The learning curve is not easy or cheap in this business, so I take every slap as a lesson This thread and the people in it really help a LOT, a very good thing that RJ keeps strict order here.

So thanks for everyone that shares experience and suggestions, apologies for the coming out just couldn't keep it in anymore

Also another point Ati,

The EU politicians cant admit the EU economy is really weak, otherwise everyone will say, oh yeah, your right, and money will run out of their banks, and the sh#t hits the fan

So all words out of EU is saying everything is being fixed everything is on course, and the maket seems to believe them ????

Until .... the last straw is carefully laid somewhere sometime, and ..... pfffft
