Not always, but quite often once the Dragon crosses (up/down) the Trend Line on H1, the MMs initiate a price pullback to/thru the Dragon. What is actually happening when they do this is the MMs are entering more positions in the new direction of the trend, and they manipulate the price to their advantage when they do this.

Ok, now with EU we see the Dragon starting to cross (down) the Trend Line on H1, so we might anticipate a pullback up to the Dragon anytime. Looking at a FR study and historic PA, a probable pullback price area is show by a yellow line. And the probable time would be in the LS, maybe as late as after the US session starts.

So, any looking for a short setup, this might provide an opportunity to do so at higher than current prices, later today,....possibly.

Anything is possible. But if you are so gunho on the shi channel, which seems to been trending down, why are you asking about long?

See!? This is what comes of having too many indicators. You look at everything, ignore most, then pick and choose what you want that fits your bias!

What do the basics indicate? First off, asian session indications can often lead to just ranging or even reversals. If you had read even the basic stuff in post#1 you would be aware of this. Second, overall the Dragon is heading down. The Trend Line has rolled over and is heading down. And most of PA is now below both! Ok, so much for the preliminaries. What do the basics indicate? Well, what are the basics? The basics are price action (PA) and support & resistance (SR).

Just look at the chart. That move up went to where? To the half number natural SR area! Why? Maybe because that is a logical place where pending long orders would be sitting and the MMs jacked up the price to absorb them (triggered them into the market by taking the short side of all of them). That would fit with the overall senario of bulll starting to become bear, because that is the only way bear MMs can find the liquidity to get more short orders filled! My advice to you is toss the shi channel, and go back and read and commit to memory the basics of the Sonic R. System.

Having said all this, yes, anything is possible. At any time the MMs can start prices moving in the opposite direction, and it could lead to a drastic change overall. But for now, PA remains bearish. And any pullups, though they could be tradeable, would be counter to the new trend and therefore of more risk of not going very far.

You need to become more aware of SR and the interaction between PA and SR. And getting rid of all non-essential indicators that do little except distract you, is a good first start.

Yea, I actually remembered not to trade during asian session as being one of the rules after I had posted that and re-read post #1 to confirm that.

EDIT OUT: Found my answer reading previous posts yea yea, I know already, read read and read more!

Also, I actually wasn't looking at the 15min SHI channel, I was looking at the 1HR SHI channel which shows a upward trend and the price bouncing off the bottom line. I don't use the SHI channel for anything other than to look at higher timeframes to see the general trend, I don't use it to enter trades.

Have you been following this one? It is very interesting because of the extended time ranging, and with the nice swings which are signs the MMs are building positions. Now look what the MMs just did! They suddenly wacked the price, torpedoed it, manipulated it down! Down? To where? Why?

In the early asian session the MMs hiked the price up thru the top of the range. Most likely head fakes to trigger longs into the market. Now the MMs whipped the price back down to the whole number SR/RDL area. Two reasons: hit SLs on longs that have been coming into the market all yesterday and during the recent head fakes, and to trigger pending short orders sitting at lower levels by taking the long side of all of them. If this is what just happened, this is a reliable indication the MMs are extremely bullish. We must wait for future PA to see if it confirms all of this. If price go up later, we have it. If prices drop thru the bottom of the barrel, we don't. It is the more logical conclusion that the MMs are bullish, because a small move up to build short followed by a strong selloff drive makes less sense than a strong SL hunt/building drive down, which also leaves price low to continue building longs!

We just have to wait and see. Oh, and did the "news" have anything to do with it? Maybe. If price gets resurrected later, and goes higher, then we will know the MMs planned all this much earlier; a way to stop out many of the longs that piled into the market yesterday, and also to trigger shorts sitting at the lower price levels, both of which get the MMs bigger long positions at low prices. They just waited for the AUD high impact release to initiate their strategy to get more longs. But, this is all "if" the price resumes going higher later.

Speculative Conclusion:
Torpedo & Buy! Buy! Buy! move by MMs after head fakes up. Head fakes up were to trigger longs into the market. The torpedo was to hit their SLs, the SLs on all the longs that came into the market yesterday, and finally, to trigger pending short orders at the key lower whole number /SR area in order to take the long side of them. Absorption volume trading for long positions! And the MMs used the timing of the AUD high impact release as the excuse for the move (no matter what the contents of the release were).

Hey TaH, quick question I'm hoping you might know the answer to. I mostly trade using MT4 on my computer when I can, but sometimes on the go I use my Nexus 7 android tablet with MT4 mobile installed. What's the best way to replicate the dragon using just the MT4 mobile's indis? I had asked a similar question earlier, but everyone just said to use logmein, which I did, but it just isn't the same and not nearly as quick or smooth as the MT4 mobile. I have already been able to more or less replicate the VSA indi with the built-in volume indi and the trend line by using an 89 EMA. I just can't figure out how to find something close to the dragon, I tried using a smoothed envelope with period 17, deviation .06 which was the closest I got, but just not the same

The Dragon is 34ema based on close price. You could use that. The outer edges are 34ema based on H/L prices. You could use those two to create a channel. I am not familiar with capabilities of such equipment.

Sonic, and other Sonicers that use such stuff, might have other ideas.

You setup is valid but be carefull with this pair, look at weekly TF still sideway
I think RDL is target for today.

You have been at Forex Factory for 16 months and have made 16 posts. So, how dedicated are you to any one system? You say you almost fully studied, but remain confused. Never has anyone before made such a claim. I believe you haven't really delved into the materials provided for the Sonic R. System to help serious students wishing to learn. And your sarcastic reply could be interpreted as confirmation that I am correct about this. If you are not willing to put in the time and work, don't expect others to waste their time and work.

If I have this wrong, then I apologize. But you still need to fully explain what puzzles you after reading almost everything. No one can help you unless they understand how you are looking at something and what exactly is it you find confusing. Only then can anyone know how to get you to see it right. Other than that, all anyone can do is retype especially for you what has already been typed for all students. What would be the point in doing that?

Hello SonicR's ,gang please can u help me to find the latest release of SonicR inidcator?I see professor TAH have diffrent sonicR control panel that have Swap info there,it will help me too to have this info.

I do not know if you will belive me but instead of using quarter '25 level as psichological level for drawing lines on chart it is better to use '20 instead, and of course '00 & 50'. Tray it ,give it a chance and see that it works better.I woud like to see this '20 levels in new release version.

Other levels work good, too, such as '12, '33, '66, 88' but the division into quarters of the realm between whole numbers works as well as anything else, and it doesn't cramp the appearance into uneven spaces, destroying the esthetics of the charts. Some days some things work better than others. Some days Fibonacci pivots are good, other days Daily pivots are better. Nothing is perfect and nothing consistently works better than anything else. I don't intend to change this, and as you can see from the attached chart, there is no reason to. The Sonic R. System is not a scalping system where we try to enter and exit at some "exacting" level. There are other indicators around that will highlight these other levels for you if you trade some other method requiring it. After all, these are just reference S&R areas. The actual historic SR areas is what we pay attention to. And "areas" is the key word here. The Sonic R. System doesn't begrudge a few pips or so on entries or exits.

Yes you a right TAH,agree with you 100%.I said it as an advise because I know that the creator of the core of this system RAGHEE HORNER is using '20 levels and it proved to work. Do not take this personal my friend I just wonted to share this info with evrybody on the thread too.
