Was going to stay out, saw the bounce & longed from 70.

Shouldn't be surprised by the rise, this move has been pulled over & over again

moving like a rocket on appalling pmi's for italy and france ,but an improvement in spain must be the catalyst

movement of 70 pips in just 60 mins..amazing it has to slow down

Don't know what to do now....sustained break of it and it's back to the top i'd say.

since you were already long, you would have probably allowed yourself the close of H1 bar or DP (whichever comes first) for better TP. but, pips are pips! it wont be retraced til the next or 2 H1 bars anyway.

the german PMI was good, but the rest of the pmis are awful. no change to the theme. overall the euro is crap. surprised at the huge increase

this is my up to date view for the EUR/USD (Euro FX futures) on the 4-hour chart. As usual I am interested to your comments:



By trading above the 1.3517 level the Fibonacci Stalking technique confirmed support in the 1.3450-60 area. Price traded a low at 1.3462. In the 1.3450-60 there is long interest of professional and program trading.

I can see two scenarios at the moment:

Scenario 1. Price could continue straight higher from here. The target for the swing that could have just started is at 1.3850 (firm price!). However a sideways action on the smaller timeframes is also possible till wednesday afternoon in preparation for the ECB meeting.

Scenario 2. Price comes back to test the entry area at 1.3460 and could even pierce this area bringing price into the 1.3440 level. I see participation on the long side at these levels.

Keep in mind that the ECB meeting will come AFTER a long setup and the news, in this case, are likely to push and help the long setup.

I consider it particularly dangerous holding shorts at this stage but from what I read a lot of people think that yesterday's action is due to the bear resuming. In my honest opinion, that was only profit taking and program trading pushing price into the next long setup.

As usually I am very interested to your comments.

Sometimes it pays not to think too hard.....

since 1.266x the eurusd has been well bought - taking into account all news, all facts, figures and fundamentals

so anyone that says it should drop and hard because of the data first needs to explain why it was bought so well despite the data for their new prediction to stand a chance

fact is nobody knows if it will go up or down, but another fact as said is it that has been well bought from 1.26 that is not just pumping it up to dump it, that is serious money flow to move the market 1000+ pips

so until the trend is broken or the price reaches top levels it is easier to go with the flow trade the trend and the retraces if you wish but ignore the data unless you can explain it imo.

its gone literally vertical in the 1H candle. nearly 80 pips from the bottom.
