I bought these a couple of years ago from an OLD time trader who has a website with videos. He is like 77 now and has been trading for over 50 years.

It's called Point and Figure and I use it almost daily. P&F has earned me 5% many, many times.

Also, a number of people asked me what size box do I use on the various time
frames of the Point and Figure charts.

I use slightly different size boxes than the default figures.
No particular reason. Just what I've always been used to over the years. You
can change yours if you wish.

1 min. - 2 pips per box
5 min. - 4 "
15 min. - 6 "
30 min. - 8 "
1 Hr. - 10 "
4 Hr. - 20 "
1 Day - 50 "

I think you misunderstood. I was talking about the particular move on last Friday only when the eur went down 70 points just to shoot up 120 points next. I wasnt talking about the move from 1.3 to 1.37

I think i made a typo somewhere too which might have confused you.

And i'm not an euro yberbear. I just argue over the fundamental justification of FX moves

I'm travelling right now and only have a paddy, so i'll cut it right here but will rspond later.

A small double bottom on the 5m / 15m charts in this area around the 50% retrace, so now looking for a higher low into the US session for a buy......TWT

Can anyone tell me if there is a reasonable explanation for the bearish response from 3700 area? does that number have nothing to do with the movement down today? The H1 was over bought and it's a round number, but I didn't see any real technical support there.

Goldman Says To Buy EUR/USD
Jan 11th
They target 1.37 which Hit end of Jan

It went from 1.33 ish to 1.37 since they asked for it.

Wonder how much they just cleared on this? Should we listen next time?

Goldman Sachs close all long positions at the target on Friday. This what I heard and read. No demand at that high level.

We had a move from 2680 to 3700 which is more than 1000 pips. Professional and program trading are taking profits and old wrong shorts are adding to the position.

Program trading will start buying again at the 1.3450-60 area to bring price into the 1.3850 area, but some people will think the bear has resumed in the Euro, while bulls are in control on the weekly chart since september and they are still in control.

It's just a profit taking spot, IMHO.

This is assuming that Drago doesn't change his tone this week. If he mentions anything about Eur strength an issue, buying shouldn't commence.

Again, news could influence the perception of which direction the Eur decides to go...techs beware

I kept the following post made by FibStalker last week as I completely agree with it.

"News is relevant only when it contributes to break sequences of measured moves induced by Program Trading on the larger time frames, i.e. daily and weekly. But very rarely news is capable of doing that: what can really change market direction is huge and coordinated participation from smart money and/or central banks. For instance, the S&P500 was turned higher twice in the last 3 years: the first time in March 2009 and the second time in May-July 2011 by the intervention of the FED with Quantitative Easing initiatives."
