I will propose the view on EU as well . TOP in my view is 13690 , confirmation for top in place is breaking 13633. Afterwards expectiong target as 13565 on weekly resistence. If you ask me we are already in the EU top , my order is in place.Wish me luck

Will everyone stop trying to short an uptrend! Wait until a reflex point is broken and then we start making LH's/LL's... it will be going down thousands of points! Gaurantee, if you call the top, you will bank a couple hundred pips through getting scared cos it starts going back up!

Ride the overall trend. Trade in the overall direction. We may well be near a top, but gut instinct and willing it, won't make it happen. We must look for facts and right now, they are up!

In case you are asking but on what timescale is it going up? What reflex points should we be looking for? Well that depends on your own style of trading and your preferred timescale to hold.

There have been many times today that the trend was down; on the 1/2/5 min! If you are trying to pick an overall top, then you need to hold for many months thereafter being proved right. Not many here will trade that way. 13,600 to 11,600, nice move, but it will have corrective whiplashes of 500 points and more along the way, hell, look at this current move 12,000 to 13,600, go with the flow, don't fight the trend...

"trend is your friend". very well put! never go against trend you will blow your account. extended waves can happen, news, ect. plenty of unknown variables.

I have an answer....
Sometimes , being to caution, you might loose the perfect entry and can be difficult to go back with a minimmum stop loss. I'm trying to find the top not to play against the trend for the same reason all of you call it soon a top(which in other words is counter trend). For being to caution I miss totally the long entry on EU last time, looking for more and more confirmation untill got anxios to enter anymore while expect the big top to play reverse.On the other hand , when I make my entries the stop is immediatly there , don't risk more then 15 -20 pips in any transaction unless my BIG Ego somethimes take over and make me loose. However I close my short , while I liked your comment very much and will like to follow the professionals rather then my personal view.

Its a hell of a journey and each person must find his/her own method that they are both comfortable with and above all, works!

The DJI hit 14,000 and is now in ending diagonal mode. Mind you, the attached chart has lower pricing than the Dow cash index, but amazing to watch all these tops forming everywhere. And as has been said here many times - wait for confirmation that the downtrend is underway before committing.

(Edit: no count on the chart, my broker is still considering whether including a text tool will be a drawing card. I've added some divergence lines to show-and-tell something at least)

Of course A was in 3 look at the chart and B a triangle, but cound be a flat also
