I use pending orders and let the price aktion come to me. If my order fillls then it usually means that the markt is going to move my way.

While this was not the most textbook of ascending triangles I arrive to my desk this morning to much profit.....Symphonie called the break and then it consolidated at the edge...
.....before finally break to the upside during asian trading (while I was sleep 
) But it go the way it should as the ascending triangle pattern is a pattern of continuation that told me the EURUSD was to move higher. Of course Symphonie telling me when to enter was the best because my order was out of all the whipsaw consolidation at the edge.
So this is what I see when I sit down at my desk this morning.

Hello every one !!! I followed your suggestion and quit trading M5, I will stay with H1, I have profit with this time frame. And I like it.
My profit in January with H1 is 230 pips!!!!!

20 pip TP is ways to conservative in my opinion. I am not rigid in my trading plan... on the Yen pairs I can see thousands of pips to the upside yet, however If I was in a gbp/usd trade I would not be using an open ended take profit target.
Try back testing with a 100 pip take profit and see how you go... seeing you are trading 4hour, I'd be targeting at least 200 pips per trade (on Yens anyways).
I got in e/j at 122.67 a couple days ago and my trade is currently +196 pips (16% increase on act balance)
Every 13 pips is another 1%

The reason I use the changes in the matrix is because one should exit a trade based on conditional markt changes that indikate a consolidation or top/bottom is forming. If you exit to many early the you are more like to jump bakc into a price aktion to late into the trending move and incur a stoploss.
I think you would improve your wins more if you made you exit on condition changes in price aktion in the markt than a FIXED take profit. I suggest you look at the matrix and find patterns where there are changes in the matrix that tell one that the current price aktion is changing or consolidating before continue. I think you will find it profitable.

P.S. That is why my Symphonie exit strategies are based on markt conditional changes (changes in the matrix) versus fixed take profit levels. (one could use Fibonacci levels as those are usually good also)

Mr Evaluator... all I can say is WOW!!!
I'm now up just on 300 pips on my e/j trade in 2½ days, and every 13 pips is another 1% on my account balance.
