3 minutes 51 seconds = 51 + (3 x 60) = 231 seconds
30 frames x 231 seconds = 6,930 frames
1,000 words x 6,930 frames (pictures) = 6,930,000 words :nerd:

The index chap refuses to move lower. This could help EUR/USD higher throughout the US session (due to arbitraging).

S&P500 emini (ES) found support at 1,490 area. Above 1,500.50 it will confirm the two targets (see below). I would not chase this market here. I would wait 1500.50 to be pierced on the upside and then enter somewhere above the 1496 level with a stop below the 1.494.50 level.

Above 1,500.50 two targets are confirmed: 1513 (1st target) and then 1525 (2nd target).

Is the Euro train about out of track?

The cycle gurus in their latest missive have consulted the augurs and have determined the (cycle) end is nigh "There are two likely times for the single currency to form a significant peak. The first is the end of the week and the second is during the final trading days of February. We have a slight preference for the first of the two timeframes, but we could easily see the uptrend become extended."

Typically the opening trend for the New Year attracts significant attention and plenty of hot money. Between the end of January and the end of February the money's been made and the rats start to desert the sinking ship. The next trend tends to be more intense and normally longer lasting. This February presents significant risks, Italian elections and associated politicking present the most obvious - indigestion after this week's multiple Italian fixed income auctions caused an 11bp back up in 10-Yr yields yesterday and another 5-6 bp today.

The cycle gurus noted "The shorter cycles call for the euro to strengthen into Friday or Monday and this is the minimum timeframe for the uptrend to end. Our target for this upmove is the 1.3650 area and should hold at this time. Following this peak it should turn lower and decline for a week and possibly two weeks, but if the uptrend remains powerful it will hold above the 1.3400 area. Provided it avoids much weakness then the euro will make a further upmove into the week of February 25."

This would fit with the usual New year about-face that we observed above happens more often than it doesn't. We like this scenario; Our Euro Road Map, 16-wk M/A, Bollinger band overlay and modified 200-wk Senkou span Ichi cloud tells us the following:- 1.3528 is the 16-wk M/A and it takes a weekly close above there to signal a cycle change (from bearish to bullish) The top of the "Ichi" cloud is 1.3510 and a weekly close above there is required for a buy signal. It looks like we will fulfill both of those requirements tomorrow, unless non-farm payrolls upsets the apple cart.

On the other hand, eyeing the weekly study, when we do break above both we rarely break away from either and simply surge in one direction. On the contrary, the power of those attractive forces, prices tend to remain within 1-2 big figs of whatever is the dominant influence at the time prices break through. In this instance we note they are both in close proximity and should act together to anchor price action. The cycle gurus contributed an alternative scenario.

. "Our ambitious further objective for the uptrend is the 1.4100 area, but we strongly doubt it will prove that strong." When you look at the implied long term Bollinger band readings for M/As like the 200-DMA and 55-wk DMA, EUR/USD at 1.4175 would be so stretched that it's virtually an impossibility. They go on to say "Following the peak expected in February the single currency should decline for a minimum of a few months. A close below 1.3175 is needed to turn the outlook negative into late March and this weakness will probably last for several months longer. Our initial target for this downtrend is the 1.2500 area."

The last thing the EZ needs right now is a 1.4175 EUR/USD - the only real hope they've got to promote growth is exports - so 1.3650 looks like the top (providing the cycle gurus have got their stuff right) Somewhere in here it's a fade, look for option strategies for low risk entry points - bearish zero cost structures look like the way to go. Approaching cluster of important tech levels at 1.3662/85/95 and 1.3718 - looking here to set up some longer term short positions

I see no longer term fibs nor support/resistance there.
