i wouldn't use Oanada as a reference. since their traders are more successful then most/all other brokers comparatively .

Interesting topic, i was watching it today, and it was like 32% long vs 68% short,and more shorts were comin in at 3320-3350,after pull down

I assume retail traders trade similarly Oanda being a giant one reflect overall sentiment of retail traders.
I was just pointing out that often price moves opposite of majority retail traders and majority of retail traders lose in forex...
Perhaps there is a correlation.I noticed this often already.I kind of look at it as "what would market makers do"

I agree with you David, watch it quite oftenly usually from pure boredom, but almost always the majority got screwed assuming by oanda open positions, not betting on it, just sayin...

Guys lets have little fun and decide best possible price to enter the market.

Lets think where most retail shorts still holding will liquidate their positions.
Lets assume lot of traders entered short at round numbers and 3450 comes to mind.
Traders still holding short will hold as long as 34 is not broken but once broken they will still hold thinking it may collapse hence 20 more pips and tipping point 3520 and they liquidate their positions.
Now that's when price turns around and goes south and passes 3450....sounds familiar?

or you guess another good number but not based on TA,no fibs TL etc. More retail liquidation perspective.

You do understand the retail taken together doesn't matter at all, right? We can't make 7% of the banks profits even if we wanted to... Just another fairy tale...

I'd love to see a Monthly close on Thursday near 3570ish before NFP Friday, the chart below is 4H. A bit curious why they stopped a few pips below 3500 is there a Fat finger(s) waiting with a very fat order(s) just above or at 3500??

I personally use Oanda some years ago. And as I saw later, they manipulate not only statistics. They make more worst job - manipulating with spread for take SL.
Days ago for my personal investigation I prepare two accounts, one with Oanda and second with other broker. And make the same orders on both, with tiny SL, TP. Surprised? Oanda eats my SL, of course with changed spread, for a seconds only - values touched my SL. Other broker goes without disturbance.
Another reason against Oanda - FIFO. Sorry, no. With my trade strategy, it is not possible to have FIFO rule.
Last, but not least, they has no leverage for Gold. Pure cash only.
