I'd be careful with the press release of the translation or interpretation. Got caught last week when one of the minister said 'correcting strong Yen' then added E/J long but price went the other direction. Something went wrong translating from Japanese to English.
I an fortunate with no problem translating, there is only 6 -10 key words watching for, same for bennie, mario, merkel, etc
only interest is key words rest is political dribble

Easiest is to follow market reactions to the announcement. I did my interpretation last week and got caught.

Key bottom level for E/J is 118.80/90. See if this holds.

I hate CB announcements, but I got in lovely @ 90.22 yesterday, took half at 86.75 and another 86.40. Has not done much since then.

If you are talking about USD/JPY, highs was at 90.25 after that price never touched either 86.75 or 86.40.

I'm sorry, I meant 89.75; I was looking at my platinum trade 1686. High 90.239, low 89.332 sun to early monday.

Morgan Stanley was rumored with bids at 86.50 targeting 95.00. Not sure if it will get there soon. U/J support still @ 89.20 and yesterday low 89.33.

News feed? That would be nice. Personally, I am neutral and will trade any confirmed signal. Nikkei is down 200 or so handles. Is the market expecting no substantial easing?

I don't think so because can't see how Japan will stop or tighten before inflation target reached. This announcement is more on the agreement BOJ with Abe's administration on inflation target, interest rate and/or type of easing bond buying, open ended etc.

Ok. I think if a 2 or so percent target is given a time frame of a year or longer, the movement on the USDJPY will be as dramatic like when headlines hit with the Y117 billion treasury purchase. Interesting, debt-to-GDP is 230 percent but Japan has lowest treasury rates in the world.

Open short @ 89.53; Target 1: 89.17 Target 2: 88.91

nope usd dollar taken a hit incl swissy , flight to safety aussie and kiwi mini rocket, gbp didnt even flicnh. and Geppy little drop, but important drop is a good day so far

if its from japan, its probably news to further weaken the yen. what the market does with it may not be what japan wants. my guess is higher..with a weaker yen news .. its just a guess.. since there are 2 sides of what the market will do.. we got the spot market we all trade here.. and then we got actual commerce.. commerce can create demand for the yen. cheaper yen based products, puts the yen in demand.
