Scalping is great and can definitely bring in the doe.
Finding consistency is the key. It's always encouraging to know that others are doing it - I used to find getting 10 pips difficult back in the early days but I've improved slowly... and I've got the big 20 as my daily minimum (as long as market conditions are right).

At the same time, I'm learning other trading styles - just to round out the skills. Scalping though is where I cut my teeth so it's good to see you making calls like that and trading real money... hope you took the 17:15 to 17:50 move!!
A pip is only worth it if you know how much you risked to earn it

You old tart, that bubble popped ages ago, when was it 2001??!!?? Put-call parity still works on some markets, the range here was so tight I figured I could do better within equity options but don't get me wrong, I am addicted to self-torture and check on you guys non-stop.

if you sit back and take in whats happening on your screen
20 pips a day is so easy BUT if your not paying attension then it can be a long day
and cost you a lot of money
im waiting on 3320 to see what it can show me
need to see how strong it is and maybe short it back to 14

yes, but prior to that I could buy and sell the same company up to 6 times a day and make great money

the downside was keeping track of all the contract notes for the tax man literally thousands per year (made the postman grumpy), online trading was nowhere near as sophisticated then

In Late November he signaled a rate cut possibility as early ( Euro plunged ) , but when the ECB met and voting members voted against it and there was not cut ( Euro rallied back ). What is left are : the 2016 Greece funding gap , the Cyprus IMF loan and the LTRO " He said before the ecb was pretty much done on the Greek issue , and i doubt he has anything to do with Cypriat issue. That leave the LTRO :

1- If he confirm that Spanish and Italian banks are hesitating to pay back the loans for any reason, the Euro will see a decent plunge that could push it back to 1.30.

2- If he defend the program success and refute the running suspension that the Spanish & Italian. you will get also a decent rally

The last 6 months has definitely seen a change in my perception of things. I'm making better calls. Perhaps it's that so called 10,000 hours screen time malarky. I think that's with any skill, really. But the more I spend on it, the more recognition I'm getting of certain patterns, shapes, the way price prints etc.

But I'm still looking for an edge on the lower timeframe entry. And you've hit it on the head - something to measure the strength. Other than 3 EMAs, I'm generally just a candlestick and S/R scalper.

one gives, another takes - all they have to do is to agree on price


in this sense: it is meaningless if you call something distribution zones or accumulation zones; you can not accumulate, when there is no one to distribute

and on the subject of trading: my guess is that .uj will be the catalyst for a spike upward: when the BOJ statement is issued (exact time unknown), it will most likely drive .uj and .ej upwards, and they will yank .eu right up with them. so, i see the b/o to the upside.
