Hello Jmtini - Happy New Year to you and your family!!!

I agree with your statements that some posters on the FF site get rude and nasty, amazing how people's personalities, etc... come out, even in blog postings.... "If you don't have something nice to say..."

I am also new to the FF forum and have been trading live for approximately two years now, and your conclusion of the Opening Session Breakout has been my bread and butter trading style for some time... I live in Denver, so Eu session times are sadly 1 am here, but the NY session...

No problem at all

Happy trading!

REFINING OUR DAILY STRATEGY

Hi everyone - so sorry that I've been a bit scarce. Been tied up with some other unrelated problems!

Guys, our "new session break-out strategy" is good but I think you will agree that it could be a whole lot better. That's what I'm working on right now. A better approach and a whole lot more pips in a very short period of time!

The easiest "pip wins" (and you can go back years on your charts) are between 7.00am - 10.00am (GMT) in the morning in my opinion and over the weekend I am going to show everyone a trading system/strategy which could give us a steady 30/40 pips a day working 1 -3 hours a day.

TAKE THE REST OF THE DAY OFF ONCE YOU'VE MADE YOUR TARGET OTHERWISE YOU'LL MORE THEN LIKELY LOSE IT ALL LATER - ESPECIALLY IN THE NY SESSION.

Hi Fbird

How do you come to a loss on EU? At 133015 to 133115 it was a win - could have held on because it was a breakout for 60 pips

EJ was a win too!

Hi sunhoyu

Only tested properly on EU

You are welcome to do your own backtesting.

Trade it on demo for a week or two until you feel confident enough to trade it live.

As I said, I am busy revising our morning strategy - I am going to post a whole new VERY EXCITING strategy over the weekend - it's a minimum 40 pips a day strategy

Rgds

Jerry

Sorry. I had 2 wins (GU and EY) and one loss (EU). My 13:30 gmt EU candle closed at 1.33527. Is there something i'm missing ? As entry by the rule was just on MR3 pivot, I entered slightly below at 1.3341. Price goes down to 1.33328, 2 pips to target and then bounced up.

Hi Jerry,

I'v been testing your system for more than a week now (only EURUSD and GBPUSD) with very good results. I'm trying to play with the SL and trade management because often the trend lasts a while and I want to ride it longer. I'm curious about your refined system and will post my experiences, too.

Regards,creatifx

Breakeven afternoon for me:

Two losses on EU. Two wins on EJ and GU. Total for the day: 30 pips won this morning. Note that I missed the NY buy trade on EJ that would have resulted in a loss.

Hi Fbird

To be honest, results from the afternoon (NY) session are not as good. Probably 50/50. I would actually suggest just concentrating on the morning break-out.

Sorry to anyone who has lost money on the afternoon breakout - however I would say that by reading the chart properly, one can make money on the 1.30 close but only going with any apparent move up or down (don't bet against)

Hi everyone

I wanted to post a new chart and I'll quite happily post the template for those who are interested.

The thing that we want to try and do is assess the situation with any particular trading pair quickly and make a winning trading decision accordingly. One thing that's always a problem with candle charts is one tends to look at the whole candle including it's "wick" when one really wants to know where a candle closes.

If you look at the chart below, it nicely shows the price movement. By adding our Asian high/lows - BRN horizontals - Pivot levels - Dynamic EMA's - we have levels off which to bounce some lucrative trades!

So Guys, that's the idea. Instead of waiting to see if a pending trade is going to be successful 15 pips down, we are ALREADY in the trade from 15 pips up!!

The actual mechanics of this we can now explore in future posts.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS JUST AN ALTERNATIVE TO OUR "SESSION BREAKOUT" METHOD - YOU ARE WELCOME TO TRADE THIS OR THAT OR BOTH

Rgds and happy trading to all,

Jerry
